  8. oh yeah i heard about the government raiding the SSI funds in 1980s... i mean this was 40 years ago... when supposedly we had less of a national debt to gdp ratio with less interest debt burden for the government and they already had to raid the ssi funds then... i can only imagine how often they had to raid the funds in the later years.

  18. at the end of the day globalization and supply chains rely on everything going smoothly like clockwork anything happens we're in trouble. delays or prices go up or no goods. i've always like the idea of vital essentials should be made at the country of origin and luxury goods or higher end not as essential goods be exported or traded. you'll find there is very few country with fair 50/50 balance with their trading partners you'll find most are tilting 60/40 on one end and some are very lopsided.

  19. i'm surprised that john doesn't know this but majoriy of us allies and friends... are bought and paid for. if the us stop handing out the gravy you'll find majoirty of our allies disappear or mysteriously start waving chinese flags. but that's just my take.

  24. it's the way he worded it. we know pro wrestling is scripted. but the moves they do in the ring for the most part like getting slammed into the mat that's real. it's just all about wording pro wrestlers have no issue admitting its all story arcs and outcomes are determined. it's just that getting thrown adn stuff that's all real. i think the only thing you can see is fake even if you watch it in person is punches and kicks do not make contact. and the holds are all in a way that do not cause any harm to you as they go with he way your joints roll and such.

  25. defaulting : is probably the only option printing - hyperinflation taxing: the middle class and the poor are either tax neutral or taking more from tax benefits than paying in to the system the rich pay more in taxes than what they take out in benefits (on a personal level) so raising taxes is like ringing nothing out of a stone. the politicians can pretend nothings there but it will get so bad one day that other countries will no longer lend to us and stop buying our treasuries and we'll be like what happened how come no one wants our currency and the US debt is like 100 trillion while our gdp is like only 29 trillion.

  26. if i understand my math correctly is that in order for social security to just sustain itself you would need at least 10 workers for every 1 retiree... and that's to comfortably sustain the system. right now we are at 2 workers for every 1 retiree.... basically we are becoming a upside down inverted pyramid

  27.  @BS-vx8dg  well if you were born 1946, if voting was 18 you could've voted by 1964 if 22 han 1968... this was he oldest batch of boomers. he youngest batch born 1964 couldn't vote unil 1982-1986.... but boomers do get a lot of flak they're no a monolithic group.

  42. good lord i can't believe in 2021 we are still talking about stuff we figured out as kids. as long as someone is taller than you, bigger, faster, stronger, smarter , or better than you in xyz there's never going to be equality. if there was true equality they would have to clone just one person or type of person and make that the entire populaion but that society or economy would just flatline in the best case scenario there is no growth.
