  1. the more you automate, tech upgrade etc. you're just doing more with less people. not everyone can be acoder not everyone can be a engineer not everyone can by xyz... if the us was still the world factory lots of assembly lines would need a lot of people but even factories now are heavily automated... so well you just dont need that many people eanymore.
