i always wonder how lui lok was able to amass such a huge fortune given his rank in the police force wasn't super high by modern rank equivalent he was just a station sergeant (his official rank at the time was detective sergeant I) like if you're making more money than the superintendants and upper british brass... something is not adding up. the commissioner was getting suitcases full of money delivered to his home fore pete sakes.
