  1. keep in mind here eisenhower thought very little of nixon and didn't respect him until his dying days and only until after his grandson married nixons daughter. ike was not impressed with nixons service in the south pacific in ww2. ike did not like professional seedy politicians like nixon. nixon had this weird awkwardness to him that even ike thought was weird.
