i think it was foolish of the usa to offshore so much of its key manufacturing overseas as this would cause your domestic manufacturing skill capacity to be goen...forever.

the lady mentioned you hobbling the competition problem is that only works if they're far behind you. if they're already at where you're at or ahead of you... that method goes right out the door. to increase your average pace isn't that easy so if the competitor has achieved faster average pace than you.... you lost.

america is unique in the ssense that the founding fathers were all history buffs and studied why all past empires failed and they did everything they can to set up the US to avoid all the shortfalls nad failings of those emipres to ensure hte US exists as long as it does and the US elites are not stupid. they will pull out all the stops to delay any kind of delay. but of course nothing can stop it.

im sure you guys all realize why the US is freaking out over china is because 1.) china exceeded all expectations and forecasts set by teh west. 2.) china is threatening the US hegemony 3.) the US grip on the world is slipping and has been slipping for years basically when someone is losing and your rival is winning... how would you react?

no one is born with these skills but with government policy industrial policy and foresight they know that once you got manufacturing and good at it do not let it go. it's a skill that is hard to get good at and too easy to lose and to get it back.
