  4.  @heatherfossis2093  no I am sorry but please understand. The people you are talking about are the exception. Not the rule nowadays. Please don't think that everyone around you is a evil racist and sexist monster, most people are not. But the most ridiculous ones nowadays are used as strawmen. To point at the other political site and go "see!? They are evil" I mean, there are democrats out there saying black people are not smart enough to have a ID and therevore showing a ID for voting is racism. Does that mean every democrat think in that belittling and racist of black people? No, I certainly hope they don't. Sure there may be some doctors that think that really backwards way, but those are a small minority of doctors that probably will lose their medical lisense if they purposely mallpractise on a poc. And putting people in power based on race or sex alone is wrong. And I thought a person who seems so heavily focused on rooting out racism would understand that. The only way to get rid of racism is to not focus on race anymore. Honestly, I think it is wrong to praise for example Obama for being the "first black president". That is what he is most known for. His most notable part of his presidency, has been reduced to "being black" Now if we didn't focus on race so much, he might have been known for something else. Trump is going to be remembered for destroying the polls, and pissing of the media. Actions, he is going to be judged on his actions. Obama doesn't get that privilege because everyone is so focused on the fucking amount of melamine in his skin. And I expect the same for the first female president. She is going to be known as the "first female president" And thats it. Thats going to be the first thing you find looking up her name. You find her sex in the title, like that somehow mattered to her performance as a president I am sick and tired of people, who out of good intentions, are willing to differentiate between black and white people, and men and women, and then go like "oh but it isn't racism/sexism because we differentiate the black people/ women in a positive way" No it is still racism and sexism to differentiate between them, and treat there accomplishments differently, based on there race or sex. If you let a student into a university with a lower score, because he is black, that is racist. Even if it where to help him. Because you treath him different based on race. And if you think, that being against positive discrimination is racist or sexist, then yes, everyone around you is a racist and sexist. Because the fast majority of people believe race or sex shouldn't matter, and for every example of a bad person you give, there are far more people out there trying to do the right thing. Stop thinking everyone is against you, and you are living in a evil dystopia, you are not. Most people are actually rather nice.
