What do you mean that this heavier, bulkier, more complex, more expensive, unreliable, hard to load magazine design is worse?

Matthew Campbell uhh, no, the piat was very unreliable, and hard to use, you couldn't use it as quickly and simply as the rocket launchers, and they had to be used at stupidly close range, because you would be happy to have the projectile go 30 meters.

perfect gun, no flaws at all blyat.

the netherlands should have bought this gun, it would have been cheap if the USA wanted to get rid of it, and it beat the old "kanon 6-veld" the dutch used as improvised AT-guns

I do see an advantage with this breach, you can aim the gun higher whilst still being able to reload as easily as before also, because you don't need to take into acount space for lowering the breach block whilst designing the carriage.

Ian, could you maybe find info on the dutch 57-mm field gun? I tried but failed miserably to find info on it, all I could find is that the order was placed for the things at krupp in 1880.

Except the mosin nagant... that is just an objectively flawed gun.
