@Szopjale1 The capitalist seek to pay us only what is socially required to get us to come back to work for the next pay period. Since capitalism seeks to replace higher paid skilled labor with machines and unskilled labor first they see education for the working class as an unnecessary expense that should be minimized and monopolized for their benefit alone. The same goes for healthcare. As far as the bosses are concerned healthcare for workers is drag on the rate of profit which goes into decline as they use machines to replace skilled labor with less skilled labor and machines. When the capitalist invest he seeks the highest RATE of profit. This is why they have industries pitted against each other in the drive to maximize profits.

@Dennis-nc3vw We don't have any control over taxes or the federal reserve bank. We can only take control of them with a labor party based upon a fighting union movement and a socialist revolution with workers control of industry.

@joshuaohuka7719 Capitalism builds huge industries only to let them go into decline because as capitalism uses machines to replace living skilled labor with unskilled labor the source of profits our labor goes down. So capitalism actually undercuts itself because it judges everything by the rate of industrial profit which over the long term goes into decline.. That is why trade unionism isn't enough but the workers must take control of industry itself in a socialist revolution and abolish capitalism. The capitalist create economic crisis by driving up the exchange value of fictitious capital with their profits only to have it collapse. At best we can hope they invest in expanding production but they only do that when they see profits ahead.

@neckmostle Maybe I should credit Czarist feudalism with the mathematics of the Swiss mathematician Euler because he spent most of his life in St Petersburg University and court of the Russian Czar? .Thanks to the cold war and capitalism I have an education.

@bwh32 Union shops were established in retail in the past and there is no profit made in the public sector at all so that idea that their needs to be some big profit margin for a union to become effective in nonsense. The only reason for saying that is you think in terms of well the bosses must still make a profit like they did in the past. If the retail bosses want to cry poverty than they can demand a lower price from the manufactures and shift more of the surplus value in their direction.

@deeyablo In the long run the use of new machinery only results in increased investment and less skilled labor to exploit. In the long term it leads to declining rates of profit by which capitalism judges success. It makes the industrial workers all that much more powerful as a class in production of the needs of human life. Once the workers gain control they can put an end to the start stop chaos of capitalism where production is halted when ever profits stop flowing. Production to meet the needs of profit will be replaced by production for the needs of humanity.

@Szopjale1 You may be interested in The Militant newspaper online and its coverage of the 1956 Hungarian events.

@neckmostle The decisions of private capital and the capitalist governmen need to be taken from their hands and put into those of the working class. Those who do the work should make the decisions.

@FaithOriginalisme The capitalist have industries all divided up yet each depends on the other. Ford had a vertical monopoly at one time starting with coal and iron mines including the ships to transport the ore. Yet in order to sell cars he needed roads to be built by the government which was his idea also. Not to mention oil refined into gas and diesel for fuel. The capitalist judge everything by rate of profit. Start a small business hire some guys to paint houses and get some paint, brushes, rollers, spray gun and truck. Should be easy enough to figure out the time needed to paint and make a profit from running the business. Now did you ever think about the industry even just to make the paint that goes into thar process? It is massive. When everything gets screwed up like in 2008 they have no choice but to bail themselves out. But like always they want us to pay for their crisis. So they said you aren't paying for the house get out and the auto workers were getting too much. They tightened up on everyone went on a campaign to make us tighten our belts. They created the crisis because they drove up the value of homes until the market exchange price collapsed. When the had the revolution in Cuba do you think Fidel Castro said okay I'm going to tell everyone how rp do their jobs? No they said your not going to be able to use your administrative or government position to exploit others and if you don't like that well there's a plane or boat leaving for Miami. They use education to drive against labor privilege.

@ey67 Capitalism can NOT solve its basic problems of the declining rates of industrial profits and the splitting up of industrial nations into camps for purpose of competition that leads to war. The era of Imperialism as first pointed to by Hobbs and then Lenin is the highest stage of capitalism. Only the combined destruction of World War two and the betrayal of the Stalinist leadership saved capitalism in the 20th century. Capitalism, world capitalism has once again entered into a period of deep decline and the ruling classes face opposition from China to Chicago. The revolutionary experience of Cuba and the Cuban people is something we should all seek to emulate.

@neckmostle You aren't going to tell me the Bill Gates story of inventing the operating system or browser are you? He did neither. The saying is that Bill Gates never had an original idea he couldn't steal. Most of the computers inventions came from investment in research paid for by the US government at Universities NOT private capital or bell labs research. According to the Supreme Court the electronic computer was invented by a professor during world war two NOT sperry rand. Capitalism gives nothing it is merely the organization of production using money and competition in markets. Thomas Edison didn't invent the light bulb either. Tesla the poor Serbian immigrant was credited with inventing the polyphase AC generation and electric distribution system along with the induction motor. He died a pauper in a New York hotel and had his papers confiscated by the government. The Soviet Union put the first artificial satellite in orbit and did the first experiments with a Tokamak which was dismissed at first by the US and UK.
