@vaiyt Basically the earth being a globe goes back to the Acient Egyptians. If you don't go anywhere than the idea of a flat earth is fine but as soon as you do you have problems with the earth's curvature over lakes, time zones, the seasons, the sun rising and setting into the ocean and the differences between the northern and southern hemispheres sunset and sunrise times. Instead they always sight a massive conspiracy against them. .

@wateva4270 He is basically saying if he's almighty then he can't exist because he could then eliminate himself which means he can't be almighty even if he hasn't yet eliminated himself. So if he can't be almighty because that would not allow him to exist otherwise he could end his existence which would mean he isn't almighty since he can't save himself from himself. So logically he can't exist unless you system of logic allows for the unknown but if it allows for the unknown than you have the problem of god being all knowing but if he is all-knowing then he can't be almighty because to be almighty you can't know him because you can't know everything and if you can't know him then he doesn't exist

@r.davidsen Any culture that studied the sky and made maps for travel would come to the conclusion that the earth is a sphere. The fact that you can't accurately map North America on a flat plane means any single table sized map will not accurately represent air mile distances between 5 cities like Boston , Miami, St Louis, Los Angles and Seattle no matter how its made.
