@rayr5950 The NEW DEAL was a failure because you can't regulate greed out of capitalism. In order for world capitalism to escape its own demise it needed to destroy capital such that primitive accumulation could reappear. The capitalist though don't think that far ahead to realize that this is what must be done. The do understand competition for markets and resources. This is what drives them into trade pacts where they eventually line up into opposing groups that want what the others has and so world war is unleashed. So in essence it was FDR's WAR DEAL that saved most of world capitalism.
