This is the way a capitalist government works they only care about INDUSTRIAL and COMMERCIAL property. Farmers, workers and even middle class homeowners come last. Its all about the money for them and their corrupt two party politicians. When they talk private property they mean THEIR PROPERTY not your personal property, your home or farmland. They will promise a job today and fire a whole factories workers tomorrow. Their promises aren't worth the paper they print them on.

Foxconn is known for treating their workers such that some actually committed suicide by jumping off buildings. They have had successful strikes by Chinese workers outside of the official Communist Party unions which have won better conditions and pay. Many are young workers who come from the countryside and live in dormitories.

If they don't employee that number for some reason or another their lawyer`s will get them out of it. They'll claim adverse business conditions. They basically steam rolled this thing through. Trump Walker and Ryan will take credit. Afterall you don't think it's just a coincidence that it's going in Speaker Ryan's district. Who knows what kind of arm twisting and secret deals we'll never even hear about that went into this thing. Maybe Trump told Silicon Valley Foxconn and others you can't have all the electronics manufacturing in the far east (China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia.) if they actually do build this plant it will be one of the largest if not the largest manufacturing facility in the US and the Western Hemisphere by number of workers

It's hard to believe they'd build a single plant with that many workers just to make flat screens.

The whole community should have had the ability to decide for themselves first not being subjected to a we the state and federal government are going to do this regardless of what you want or say. They don't even need all the property for the factory. A lot of it will be used to build a company town to the liking of the Foxconn Bosses. Plus the giveaway of tax revenue to Foxconn. Down the road the same politicians will be talking about how the government is broke and can't keep schools open five days a week.

Still 13,000 could be with 3 shifts or 4 rotating turns. From pictures I've seen of electronic assembly workers they all sit next to each other compared to heavy industry or machine shop metal working and assembly. Also is the 13.000 only Foxconn workers or is that an estimate of the total number of all the jobs the plant will create. The plant could be multi story and parking garages instead of lots could be used. Also if your FOXCONN and your getting it for free why not overestimate and take as much as you can get. What you can't use could be sold for a tidy profit.

If Clinton had done it all the hard ass Clinton supporters would be talking and explaining how necessary it is.

Nelson is just a bossman talking down and dirty. They made him forman and gave him a head transplant to reduce the cost of language training.for board of directors meetings.

It is the same thing although sometimes corporatism is taken to mean a capitalist fascist dictatorship like Hitler or Generalissimo Franco. In general it means corporate or capitalist rule.

Clinton received four times the campaign contributions that Trump had. Go ahead and lie to us about how Clinton was the candidate of the working class and not big business? Clinton would have done it for the price of a contribution to the Clinton Foundation.

Cuba would reject Trump and Ryan which is why the US government either liberal or conservative has lost every confrontation with the Cuban revolution. Kennedy lost at Playa Giron and Reagan at Cuito Cuanavale.

This could be just the Democrats po pooing the President but I heard Foxconn has 1.3 million workers in China. That the deal is only for an initial 3,000 workers with the possibility of adding 10,000. While Foxconn doesn't manufacture desktop computers you can buy all the parts except the software from them and assemble your own. While having a large industrial base is necessary to produce all kinds of modern commodities it is the natural workings of capitalism that drive it across all national boundaries in the quest for cheap labor and new markets.

We once had a large commercial computer and computer chip manufacturing structure in Digital Equipment Corp in Maynard, Massachusetts. However most of the electronics manufacturing moved to 'greener pastures' Like Nogales, Mexico and the China because higher profits with cheaper labor was available elsewhere.

@Patchuchan Not being able to get into a FoxConn Plant what makes you think that? Outside of military, specialty and government electronics what do they still build here? The greater the number of items to be made in a given time the more automated and the greater the division of labor you can use in the manufacturing the process. My understanding is Foxconn does mostly assembly meaning chips and parts are made elsewhere.

In the modern era it falls upon the working class to uphold Constitutional rights because the capitalist government only uphold the rights of private property meaning Industrial and Commercial property not homeowners, farms or personal property.

Its all about a big giveaway so Capitalist Politicians can appear to be saviors of the working class and big business can make big profits. There is no win win situations for the working class either we win or we lose.

If their is law that says the can't unless you can put up a big protest they'll just do whatever they want anyway. Judges from the local level to highest court in the land will find an excuse to rule against you.
