The virus has set off a panic in the upper class. Things are not going to be the same. Their politicians haven't got the slightest idea of what to do next. One thing is certain they will try and foist the cost of this crisis onto the backs of working people, farmers and whatever is left of real not fake small business.

  6.  Panakeje  I don't remember him using his name but his real political attacks are aimed at Trotsky. After all few people see nothing good about Stalin since the end of the Soviet Union. They would like you to believe communism is a dangerous ideology because protection of their ideology requires carpet bombing, napalm, agent orange and cluster bombs. The US couldn't stand losing Cuba to the Cubans. The spend their time writing some of the most outrageous lies about Cuba. Do they say anything about how they bombed the island with B-26 Alabama National Guard Bombers painted with Cuban markings? Do they tell you about the 20, 000 who died in the struggle to oust General Batista? All they want to talk about is how his police who engaged in monstrous torture were tried and executed. A trial that most of their victims never got. How a US CIA agents Luis Posada and Orlando Boshe admitted planning the downing of a Cubana civilian airliner killing all 73 people aboard. These terrorist were protected by the Bush family even though Bush claimed no country had the right to harbor terrorist. Bush Sr. was once CIA head but now that they are dead they took the rest of their secrets to the grave.

How working people could handle issues like safety and pollution through trade unions rather than government officials easily bribed and based in a state bureaucracy protecting profits based in a capitalist government in DC. How organization could replace hiring and firing where you left on your own with education being a right as necessary for life itself.

  11.  @flyinghighagain7712  "Fake small business" is when the law is written such that a businesses held by holding company, large franchise company or say a business with a very high capital to labor ratio can fit into the small business category. How would you classify a small business? Number of workers, capitalization, ownership? Shack shack qualified (later returning its money) as having less than 500 employees per physical business location. Some other guy complained with 310 employees and six locations saying he didn't get anything at all. I tend to think of a small business as less than 15 full time or no more than 25 full and part time workers with a total capitalization of less than a million dollars own by a family. I think that is more than generous. Not a company traded on the stock exchange or a holding company run by a dozen people with a billion dollars in capitalization, people owning multiple franchises each viewed as a single business and a 100 worker cleaning or building trades contractor.

Most recessions are set off by an economic problem in capital markets what Marx called, fictitious capital which causes a contraction in production and trade. These crisis are cyclical meaning the happen about every ten years or so. They've been hoping to stave off this one with cheap money loans by central banks. This one was technically set off by the virus. That doesn't mean it's not an economic crisis like all crisis before it. The capitalist can't avoid doing what they've done in all past crisis making us pay for their systems crisis.

Lenin's April 1917 theis agreed with Trotsky's Permanent Revolution an alliance with workers and peasant farmers. Stalin was forced to retreat from the alliance with bourgeois liberals which he later revived as a theory with Lenin's death. This can easily seen in Mao's bloc of four classes. Mao had to found The Peoples Republic of China without the National Bourgeois since their rep General Chang refused to join a coalition government a recipe for disaster (Spain, France, in the 30's and China in 1929). After Mao died the CCP welcomed back the National Bourgois making the bloc of four classes complete. Look at the Chinese flag those four stars are for the four classes. Workers, Peasants, petti bourgeois and national bourgeois. Landlords and Warlords were left out.

We will all see how long the supposed non aggression principle lasts. You won't be able to keep your greed from attacking us in the name of austerity to solve you profit crisis and the decline in the rate of return on investment. It's up to us to begin the fight back against austerity. Those protests might look like support for Trump (Who has been smart enough to get ahead of the curve.) but with no end in sight they will grow larger with less support for your politicians. UI promises to the 1099ers are empty since they don't get reported until January. Many of those in tourism bus drivers , B&B, and guides won't see work until next spring. Predatory banks will be foreclosing on homes and small business. With that kind of unemployment bosses will be cutting wages down to the minimum pleading poverty as the usual excuse and how we must all sacrfice.

" ..but the transition to communism is only possible on a micro scale... " "No because socialism, the dictatorship of the proletariat, must take hold first in the most developed countries." Opening a Food Coop or going back to a farming culture of primitive communism is not a step towards socialism or communism.

  38.  @amraceway  It was a very tough time to be a Trotskyist as WW2 was approaching. The war fever was rising in the UK/US. Trotsky was murdered in Mexico by Stalin's NKVD. FDR's AG Biddle arrested 18 leaders of the SWP and Minneapolis Teamsters and convicted them under the Smith Act. The Stalinist flipped back to supporting FDR along with what was left of the Socialist Party. The SWP lost almost 1/2 of the Party to those who now saw the Soviet Union as state capitalism not a degenerated workers state. James Burnham went all the way to becoming a founder of American Conservatism with William Buckley. First they were speed up with computer processing, then PC's with networking and now replaced with online self service. Ordinarily any kind of degree made them qualified to read and write was all that was needed to work in government positions to hold the power to hand out food stamps, do DMV work, work in child services and hand out unemployment Insurance. At one time food stamps were torn out of a ration book now their on a credit/debit type card. Edit: I hope I clarified my comment.

  42. Most students are entering college on advice of adults. After arriving the see how capitalism "...where life will hit them like a train..." works when the seniors are looking for job placement. Those are the material forces that are driving the SJW craze not a conspiracy theory where teachers, professors, and college administrators have suddenly become communists.
