Rather simplistic since Marx and Engels wrote the Manifesto before the Paris commune. Just because certain reforms and changes have been occurred under capitalism doesn't mean that socialism or communism has been achieved. The capitalist found that they could not operate in their system in the way their original defenders described. Their government could not just ignore popular will. The bitter fruit of neoliberalism was harvesed by the crisis of 2008. Friedman had already died and the collapse of the "Ownership Society" and Bushes "New World Order" are nowmemories being lost in history. Cynical neoliberals like Sowell supported Trump as being easier to impeach than Clinton. I suggest reading something newer like the Transitional Program for Socialist Revolution, Socialism on Trial or America's road to Socialism. .

@simon359 It says that the United States is a class divided society. That the power of money is not an absolute power in only one classes hands. Money is only a tool around which to organize economy but not the only way or even the best way to organize an economy. Bourgeois society puts a price on every human relationship and forces man to come to terms with his very nature as part of nature and our very survival as a species.

Of course because now you have others producing value for your business.

@bobahop1232 The bosses seek to pay the lowest wages and work you the longest hours so you can make the company the biggest profits.
3
@bobahop1232 So because capitalism doesn't always involve outright slavery that makes everything okay? The system ends up paying an average social wage that is just enough for the laborer to reproduce his labor but not enough to buy back all that can be produced resulting in periodic crisis and now the inability to pay for a new generation of workers. Working women no longer want to be forced into poverty and working men denied the right to have a family by a system that refuses to pay them for a new generation.

@Believer292 The reason investments are well taught in school is capitalism tends toward monopoly and the boom and bust cycle results in further wealth concentration not its expansion. Most American's not have $500 for an emergency proves not that they lack investment knowledge but that they have nothing to invest.
3
@kucingcat8687 Just when did we have a revolution and take over?
3
@morbidbushido You will never be free in a class society where the freedom of a few depends on the slavery of the majority. When push comes to shove the bosses always rely on the investment in profit protection provided by the police and military.
3
The Federal Reserve Bank is a "Privately owned Bank" whose director is appointed by the President. The government is the executive committee of the ruling class.
3
@sidology1.0 If you want to understand economics than you need to begin reading Karl Marx. Starting with wage labor and capital. Then price value and profit. Once you gone that far your ready to take up Das Kapital. Production in modern capitalism involves setting in motion working people and tools all over the world. A computer in production travels through an estimated 100 counties before it is ready for sale.
2
@eujinlee9936 That too is the ideology of the capitalist "slave" society. That by becoming an owner you escape the society of slaves. If as you say that the schooling creates slaves in a slave society than the masters also need an education to be the masters of the society. The creation of the working class by the capitalist is great step forward for humanity not a step back into slavery but a step forward. If you come out of school with nothing more than the ability to read, write and basic math that gives you access to culture that people of the past feudal societies never had. It is our class that will become the new ruling class and thereby abolish all class distinctions.
2
Read "The Militant" newspaper published since 1928.
2
@bobahop1232 When we lead the Teamster union during the great depression the workers would ask what they could have our response was anything your big enough to take. Our goal is workers control of industry through the abolition of the rights of private property. .
2
@bobahop1232 Bourgeois Private Property as defined in the Manifesto is the property used to exploit others. Personal property loses is class character. Also from the manifesto.
2
Examples of property being used to exploit other is bank mortgages on homes, private railroads, mills, mines, factories, corporate stock and bonds.
2
@bobahop1232 Education should be free and life long along with healthcare. That is already been shown to be both economically doable and necessary by the Cuban revolution. If bosses don't want to hire then the government will and pay workers to build things working people need. We are tired of being told that nothing can be done about unemployment and the homeless, We are going to increase the number of educated working people in economics, medicine and in general to prevent the rise of a privledged educated caste that would bring back capitalism. That's called using education to drive against labor privilege. We are going to have a workers foreign policy also. That means an end to the production of nuclear weapons and retooling the military industrial complex.
2
You may be an accountant but you don't understand economics. All you understand is mathematics as used by the capitalist class because if you actually understood economics you'd have to explain how the capitalist are going to get out of the problem of the natural tendency of profits to decline. You need to explain how the profit system can escape its own demise.
2
Introducing a prayer for capitalism is about the best the bosses can hope for.
2
@simon359 Kissinger's problem was he couldn't control the class struggle and people like Fidel Castro.
2
@stevestiffler9120 The alternative to a capitalist bosses bureaucracy micro managing everything is workers control of the industry and community without private property where almost everything belongs to banks and other exploiters.
2
@JennaLeeEquals3 If your a workers its deducted from your check before you can spend it. If your a contractor than your income is reported on a 1099 forms to the gov't. You need to do just about everything in cash which is difficult for most people. .
2
@woldenracing7370 Karl Marx is the best teacher one can find when it comes to the workings of capitalism starting with wage labor and capital and the value price and profit. Das Kapital expands on all his ideas. When Marx brought it to the publisher he said never had someone with so little published so much on the subject of money.
2
@RM-lk1so Truth is not easily hidden and the young are always the first to recognize injustice.
2
@RawOlympia People expecting a return on investment is a something for doing nothing concept.
2
Capitalism not providing the opportunity promised? I guess you really don't understand economics and propaganda.
1
They will own everything and you will own nothing is the motto of the capitalist bosses at the WEF.
1
@loendsti Yes the old Conservative neoliberal Walter Williams proudly proclaimed self ownership as if he had recently bought his freedom from slavery.
1
Teaching nevertheless is an honorable profession. Its is the wage laborers who will abolish capitalism and if capitalism did not create us how would we be able to abolish it?
1
The economic calculation problem is the theory that only boss can do arithmetic and engage in planning. It's just to difficult a subject for the rest of us. Only the bosses can create an Empire that is "too big too fail".
1
@thethan3 Well he obviously failed to explain it to you since you haven't refuted my claim. What is it a theory that is just to complicated to explain? The problem revolves around assigning a price in the first place so it is not something Marx did not understand. Misses is stuck with the problem of capitalist assigning prices in the anticipation of profits. They libertarians are stuck with explaining the need for the state sector that doesn't directly produce profits along with the tendency of profits to decline in highly capitalised industry. Sure they were riding high after the implosion of the Soviet Union but where are they now? They keep talking about global warming as an excuse for everything they do now.
1
They have found that the either had to adopt these in a limited way or been dragged kicking and screaming into adopting them. The capitalist have not be able to escape the early predictions of Marx and Engels. They have conquered the world and created an ever growing working class of propertyless wage laborers and declined in size along with the middle class being pushed down into the level of the working class. Their system has entered into natural decline as profit rates are pushed down by rising amounts of capital and smaller amount of labor needed to produce the same commodity. They find themselves in ever greater economic and political crisis.
1
No Marxist would ever concede to the concept of intellectual property. If someone comes up with a good idea why would we promise not to use it? Other philosophers and economist accused Marx of stealing their ideas. We give credit to others when appropriate. We find it quite amusing to be accused of only taking the ideas of others and cherry picking when you obviously do that. Did Bill Gates invent the computer and the internet or did others do all the work and he do all the "cherry picking"?
1
@ingevankeirsbilck9601 "Children used to grow up on family farms and turned out ok." Then along came capitalism which freed the slave and the serf circumnavigated the world and created giant industries like steel oil and electricity.
1
Well you can explain how the problems that lead to the capitalist deciding to do what the did could be solved in otherways. They found themselves having to put rogue operations under control and that some kinds of activity could not produce profits and some things did not make sense to own privately or without a monopoly of ownership.
1
@peterellicott58 Capitalism divides people into the owners of Private Property (The property used to exploit others.) and those who must work for the owners of private property.
1
Obviously the SEC sees them as a rogue operations that could threaten the system as a whole.
1
@bobahop1232 You've been in charge with your failed neoliberal ideas for about 50 years now. It's time to rebuild the union movement and take back the ground lost to neoliberalism and move forward with a Communist Program like that first outlined by Karl Marx, Fredrick Engels, VI Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara.
1
@@abigmonkeyforme He hasn't got an explanation because they don't. Has nothing to do with North Korea either. Its a problem they have no solution to. The last time they were in this big an economic crisis was the great depression. The only way they were able to get out of that was to go to war and destroy most of the industrial capacity of the world and restart priitive accumulation. Now that the world has be rebuilt and industrialized they back into the same problems they had before WW1 and WW2. A crisis of overproduction. A crisis where they have too much capacity for production and not enough buyers. This why they are crying about China and talking about launching a new cold war to contain China and Russia despite their decision to adopt capitalism. They took the place of the British Empire and are in decline because of the natural tendency of profits to decline. .
1
The real achievements of the Communist movement in America involve the role we played in creating the mass trade unions, the overthrow of Jim Crow segregation, the creation of social wages for those unable to work, the fights waged for democratic rights and against Imperialist wars.
1
The natural way capitalism works is to concentrate wealth into the hands of a ruling class. The wage worker is paid to reproduce his labor power. While his labor power produces more wealth than he is paid to reproduce his labor power. The natural workings of capitalism have seen it take over the world and now enter into a period of decline as the ruling classes seek to defend their profit system which itself has entered into decline due to the natural tendency of the rate of industrial profits to decline. To try and fool the world and themselves the capitalist replaced a gold based monetary system with fiat currency.
1
Property taxes originated in colonial America.
1
So have the "escaped" the dreaded "uncouth" and "deplorable" working class Hilary Clinton hated so much?
1
@morbidbushido We have to create a State if for no other reason than defense against a Capitalist states invasion. Leon Trotsky lead the Red Army to defeat 14 Imperilaist Armies including the US/UK. Our state is a workers state a whole people in arms.
1
@finance485 What the slogan at the bank and finance company? "We do nothing and get paid anyhow."
1
@markme4 They can't solve the periodic crisis of capitalism because its a system of exploitation which enters periodic crisis of overproduction. The ruling class always tries to unload their crisis on the backs of the working class in its efforts to defend the declining rates of profit.
1
@msparr01 So their rise in social status proves you have beat the system? They may be wise but will they survive dog eat dog capitalism?
1
Each generation should be able to live better than the past because of the accumulation of a surplus of production not the enslavement of others. Slavery was a step forward only because it meant he development of agriculture over hunter gatherers who engaged in cannibalism when food was scarce. Better to be a slave than eaten. Becoming a renter is NOT a solution. Those Wall Street profits are unpaid wages.
1
@kucingcat8687 The bosses can not escape the crisis their system produces. It is capitalism that produces the men and women who will overthrow the power of the capitalist class of bosses and bankers.
1
Of course because rogue operators and thieves have to be stopped.
1
@1nsytegames42 The rules are written to defend the assets of the ruling class. The natural workings of capitalism tend towards monopoly and incumbency. The middle class is constantly being pushed into the working class while a few skyrocket into billionaires.
