@i2hellfire Even in the United States itself different sections of the country call a sandwich on a long cylindrical roll different names. Blimps, Hoagies, Heroes, Submarines, Subs, Torpedoes or Grinders. The word 'you' refers to someone else in singular or plural form while in the south 'you' is singular and 'you all' or 'you'll' (pronounced yall) is plural. English is a language without any central control of spelling, pronunciation or word usage.

@Nunya Business People in Boston call their streetcars trolleys and the rails trolley tracks. Years ago they called the poles which connected to the overhead line a Trolley pole. The workers who drove the trolleys were Carmen and their union was called the Boston Carmen's union.

@ritwikreddy5670 State and federal fuel taxes pay for highway and road maintenance in the US. The rail companies all make money on freight service. They don't want passenger service slowing down their long distance freight service. They said they couldn't make money on long distance passenger service. Amtrak runs all US long distance passenger service only the Northeast corridor from Boston to DC makes money. The alternative is heavy interstate traffic a bus ride or an airplane trip where with lots of boarding and departure time not to mention that the airports are outside of the cities. Most people live on the East or West Coasts lots of the interior of the country is empty. Texas is as large as France. Some places have warning signs no service for sixty miles. I have personally driven for hours and not seen a car coming the other way. There are always stories about how someone driving out in the middle of no where was attacked by thieves who forced someone off the highway or how someone had to kill a thief with a gun who than never reported it and just kept driving to the next county and out of the state.

The Northeast Corridor passenger rail from Boston to Washington DC is necessary and makes a profit because airports and Interstate Highway can not carry all of the passengers.

@ReflectedMiles First let me say I am glad to hear from someone who actually is in the industry. My experience is connected to the ground transportation, HVAC and electronic/electrical industry. I and I'm sure others have seen things that go on that shouldn't which is why it is very easy to believe this is just another case of someone putting the dollar before safety or other concerns. The liberal media has its own axes to grind as can be seen in it's unending get Trump at all cost campaign. They had chief FBI hound dog Muller run an almost three year investigation which revealed no connections or collutions with Russia but they still refuse to drop that bone.

@addisonwelsh I could have said, "National Guard" who are under control of the state governors but I used state militias which was the old name and to make it understandable to those who aren't from the United States. "National Guard" and "Federal Troops" sounds the same which it isn't making it confusing for those who don't understand the difference.

@HardenJID Sanders has done more to save capitalism by joining the capitalist Democratic Party then if he stayed out. His excuse last time was "Not enough time to build a new party." We he's had almost 4 years and his biggest leadership action when he lost to Clinton was to endorse her. His biggest supporters like AOC don't know their ass from their elbow.

@HardenJID I know this. It is class struggle that produces results. Street protests. Not another George McGovern like campaign! Did he not put his vote for war lead by the most powerful Empire when he voted for the 2015.National Defense authorization act. He could have vote no or not present and it sill would have passed. So why did he dirty his name unless he really is for war? That vote included building F-35 fighter jets. Ya we run an independent Socialist campaign against war and Imperialism and I guess you like Sanders are happy to trade away your principles for empty promises. We fight to get on as many ballots as possible because we are building a real communist party to take power from the war makers. Our candidates will go out and talk with workers about the need to take control of production away from the capitalists. We are the party that goes to picket lines and those fighting racist police violence. We speak out on rising Jew hatred.

The corona virus would be under control if China put health first over profits like in Cuba where they have 9 Doctors for ever 1000 people instead of 1 like China or 2.3 like the US. Not only does Cuba have a numerical advantage but the international spirit. Their doctors halted Ebola in Africa not those sent by Obama. Right now the World Health Organization is talking about the window of opportunity closing to halt the spread of the virus. What's wall street worried about? Setting off another big economic crisis. So once again profit comes first and health last. You go ahead and keep laughing all the way to an early grave.

US Capitalism left to its own devices will steal them from the underdeveloped countries at a higher rate that they are already doing. You don't think their going to train more doctors or nurses without extracting profits through educational loans. Loans which are not dischargable with bankruptcy. Sure take on an average debt of $100,000 before that fist billable patient walks through the door.

Where else could the cops turn a wheelchair bound bar drinker into a quadriplegic. Sheriff Joe fighting off tough wheelchair cowboys. Sheriff Joe with his "Tent City" concentration camp and air conditioned dog pound. Prisoners in chain gangs on public transit. Were you buying pink underwear sold by the Sheriff. Trump gave him a federal pardon from the federal pen to keep him from running a "Free Sheriff Joe" campaign. One hundred Forty million and counting possibly reaching $178 million.
