When the revolution failed in Germany than Lenin and the Bolsheviks turned towards freedom for the colonial slaves of Imperialism. They held the Congress of the Peoples of the East in 1920 and encouraged the founding of communist parties in countries like China which had only a small minority of industrial workers and had no Social Democratic Parties.

@johnharrison6745 Look this guy doesn't know what he is talking about. The "marxist" who thought you can just sit around and wait are the right wing leaders of the Social Democracy. They became traitors to the working class in Germany. All Marcuse and others are is armchair revolutionaries who sit in professors chairs leveling criticism. Before the war they were talking about how wrong Marx was about capitalism inevitable entering into decline since the living standards of the German workers were rising. When they totally misinterpret everything he says. It was Lenin who made the role of the party to be the tool used to raise the political consciousness of the workers beyond simple trade unionism. These same professors were disconting the revolution potential of the working class in the 1970's are so they are now in the capitalist Democratic Party talking about how they can create equality with DEI. These people are no more "Marxist" than Thomas Sowell. They've read Marx and then plagiarized or revised Marx to suit their purposes. Tearing the revolutionary heart out of Marxism to make themselves into armchair revolutionaries and professional Social justices Warriors in the service of Bourgeois illusions of grandeur.and an everlasting capitalist world. These are the heads of NGOs, micro investments and George Soros open society. These people are nothing but the product of Bourgeois ideology of slow and steady reformism. They achieve little to nothing except to provide a distraction from the ongoing class struggle.
