It might have taken Mao longer to defeat the Japanese and once that happened Kim il Sung and Ho chi Minh would un doubtedly been able to defeat the Japanese in Korea and Vietnam. Would the Soviet Union been able to defeat Hitler without the US Lend Lease program? If the answer was yes then the Red Army could have marched all the way across Germany. I doubt that the British could have held out without US supplies and Germany would have certainly attacked US shipping to England. If Eisenhower had not launched D day when he did the Soviets could have taken all of Germany as they were the first ones to enter Berlin. If the Soviets lost then Hitler would have had all of Europe under his control for a number of years. A peace treaty would have been signed with Hitler because it is unlikely either side could invade either Europe or America at that point only a naval war could continue.

Korea with the required US gov't approval does S Korea really have a choice not to buy THAAD when the US military keeps 12 bases in Korea? The US realizes that if they put THAAD in Korea in their name there would be even more protests so why not get South Korea to agree to put it in. China is not selling N. Korea missiles or nukes and unlike the US China has not had nukes on the Korean Peninsula. The exact number of nuclear warheads the US and Russia have is about equal and way exceed any other nations with different sources having different numbers because most likely the exact numbers are secret. With a much larger Ohio class submarine force than Russia the US ability to deliver nuclear weapons any where in the world is much greater. The US has withdrawn from the ABM treaty, considering building more nukes and re launching the Star wars program. The current regimes in Russian and China no longer defend anything that would make them 'progressive.' The private ownership of industry is capitalism no matter how you slice it.

  51. The Imperialists in the US always want to pat themselves on the back for high wages, better conditions, and democratic rights. When in fact all those things in the modern era were fought for, defended and won in struggles against the capitalists and their two party stooges. Wages have been stagnant for 25 years or so. Revolving credit through credit cards replacing wages until the 2008 Great Recession hit. Working conditions have worsened and democratic rights were won in the fight against the second red scare carried out by the two party Congressional organizations called HUAC and the senate McCarran Committee often referred to as McCarthyism. Politicians of both parties have been attacking the first amendment the liberals with their Citizens United proposed amendment and Trump calling for the firing of sports players for 'taking a knee.' When you talk of boot licking stooges you are describing the two party American system. They are usually picked with campaign donations with many donations made by the ruling rich to both parties. This time the one who was suppose to win lost and the one who wasn't suppose to win won. Hillary Clinton was once a Republican and Trump once a Democrat. In fact the Clintons attended the Trump's last wedding. In many Congressional districts the winner is picked by the primary voters since the other party has little support.

  54. Getting rid of the nuclear threat as a whole and not just preventing other nations from going nuclear can only begin when the two biggest nuclear powers the US and Russia start first. Why should two big school yard bullies with baseball bats get to decide that the little kids can't use a stick to defend themselves.
