@chuckkady7282 Was the King of England elected or the Emperor of Rome? Or Pontius Pilate?

Capitalism has come to the point where greed regulation is required by Federal Agencies. That is why the government bureaucracy keeps growing. The capitalist don't trust, believe or want the workers controlling things that OSHA and the EPA do from their headquarters in Washington. Yet they complain about the cost of these officials and agencies who themselves become corrupt.

@chuckkady7282 So guess the "early democracy lacks any basis?" Couldn't it have been that only a few were elected or maybe it was the strongest or those who got the toughest around themselves? Or maybe they respected the oldest? The one who told the best stories?

@Diabolical05 They didn't forsee a rise of the tiny super wealthy capitalist class that would corrupt everything imaginable. Any angles in government died before election.
1
@Diabolical05 They assign a price to everything and every human relationship.

@Diabolical05 No everything didn't have a price. Of course if you want to call only capitalism civilization than your right. The Roman empire had slaves did they pay them money time wages? Did they at least pay piece rate wages? If the did than what would make them slaves? You should at least think before you write.

@lukesterification The capitalists want their own share of government handouts in terms of what they want like police and military expenditures. The capitalist may lose his capital if his product doesn't sell. The worker may lose his life if a machine malfunctions. Losing an arm or a leg is a much bigger risk because the worker may no longer be able to work.. A capitalist can always become another worker that he already claims to be if he loses all his capital.
1
@lukesterification Guess you've never worked anywhere at a job outside of the office. Your just another college boy know it all. How much is an arm worth these days for workmans comp purposes? Would you like to sell your arm for insurance money?
1
@lukesterification The capitalist risks his money. The worker risks his body.
1
@lukesterification The workers may not be socialists today but the capitalist systems crises will push them into our arms. The only way for the workers to win is though class struggle. Class struggle is the road to socialism. The workers will learn through struggle that only a revolution getting rid of the wage system all together will solve our problems.

legalblond Let's look at Venezuela 80% of the economy still in private hands. A functioning stock market. Now to Sowell. He claims to be a marxist until after being hired by the US government as an economist during the witch hunt. I have yet to hear anything from him as to how he answered his loyalty form concerning subversive organizations and what happened after words? They were still asking that question right up to the mid 1970's on student loans, at ice cream plants and defense contractors. I wonder what he would say about the case of the Legless Veteran Jimmy Kutcher? Oh and wikipedia has him graduating from Columbia and the University of Chicago. We get it though. He graduated form an elite 'Poison' Ivy League university. The same type that produced Trump, the Clinton's and the Bushes.
