Said what would happen? A Boss Vowing to raise wages? LMAO

@danscalone8110 The bosses always look for ways to take back what the give with one hand with the other hand.

Keen R A boss only hires if he sees a profit ahead of time. Economic growth is always followed by economic decline. Just what did they tell us? That the economic pie is only so big. Your cut has already been decided upon and if we have to raise wages than we will put more of you on the street. Thats when capitalism goes into recession the big bosses become cannibals eating up those to weak to survive? Recessions and depressions are older that the Russian revolution of 1917. The Tulip bulb crisis of 1637 occured before Karl Marx was even born. We aren't responsible for the anarchy of monopoly market capitalism and so why should we sacrifice? Its a problem inherently inside the natural workings of capitalism. The workers should not give back their wages to capitalist crisis and central bank manufactured inflation. Figures from the BLS say that since 1973 productivity has risen over 250% while wages have remained stagnant. In fact this is why the Socialist/Communists call for not just higher wages but the overthrow of the wages system itself.

@danscalone8110 A lot of areas of the economy use to have fixed prices but it was decided it would be better to let prices be market driven such that monopoly prices could take over after driving competition out of the marketplace. It also became a reason to drive wages down. The only way workers can do better in the labor market is with unions and a minimum wage.

@ericmadsen9655 The only "Vowed" to raise wages. "After the holidays" when they will fire a lot of workers because in retail that's when they need us the least. Sure we "VOW" to raise wages for those that no longer work here. LMAO
1
@ericmadsen9655 I worked six years in retail by doing my job and not breaking the rules. I watched as more and more people were fired for petty reasons. The obvious reason was healthcare. If they can't fire you before that one year period when you get vacation sick days and healthcare it gets harder to fire you. They fired the receiver and it cost them $14,000 because he had a good lawyer. I started before 2008 when the begged people not to quit. Now all they do is fire anyone. They told a disabled worker with more years than me she had to pick up something heavy which she obviously couldn't do and when she said no the told her we don't need you your laid off.

Naturally Bosses are seeking higher profits at our expense. I say STRIKE THEM!!
1
Keen R We will see how long it takes till the GM workers who have stopped those GM assemble lines and those profits from rolling in until they get a contract that they like. Crocodile tears are coming from the Boss press about losses to other bosses in the parts manufacturing business.
1
Bosses are always working hand and glove with Liberals and Conservatives to lower wages for bigger profits. Just ask Liberal Boss Jeff Bezos and conservative bosses like the Koch family.
1
The "VOW" to raise wages. When? After the Holidays when we don't need you.
1
We said "Good Bye" to Burnie and his bro's when they said, "Hello Democratic Party"
1
Just more boss excuses for making everyone miserable to save an extra ten cents. Making things better by firing more people. Before 2008 they could get anybody to stay for minimum wage now the can get rid of enough of us fast enough.
1
Sound like BOSS policy taking back hours to save on worthless promise of private heath care and vacations.
1
Of course Boss Greed drives the economy for the bosses only.
1
@LadyTruth7 What is it they were pushing for?
1
When the bosses and banks have all the money and everything goes automation who will buy the products?
1
@richardstrongismokecigarsa7215 You want us to do more work in less time so you can take home bigger profits.
1
@richardstrongismokecigarsa7215 My bet is the next recession will be taking down a lot of Ben Shapiro Mud Pie manufacturers. In business the big fish eats the small fry. WalMart ate up others the way a Cannibal eats human flesh.
1
@johnappleseed8146 The problem is this is only a Boss vow meant to stave off protests when hours are cut during the Black Friday to Christmas time.
1
You better go back and listen again. They cut hours and 'Vow" to raise wages after the holidays when they don't need us. They're going to raise the wage of everyone they fire.
1
Vowing to raise wages while cutting back hours. Another example of boss hypocrisy. "We are cutting back on your hours but we vow to raise wages." Raise them now not later. The bosses need you now this is the time for Target workers to strike back.
1
2008 was what happened.
1
Mr. Ubiboy It only works this way if we let it. I say STRIKE 'EM like at GM
1
Carol Howard You wouldn't be trimming it if you faced a militant union. BOSS.
1
They haven't raised the federal minimum wage BOZO.

Keen R Small business failures are a regular occurrence driven out by the big business with its superior production methods and monopoly tactics. If your a boss who can't make a profit in a restaurant with the usually sub minimum wage requirements for wait staff then your what Ben Shapiro would call a mud pie manufacturer. WalMart not only gobbled and featested on small business market share but even large area retailers. The whole way capitalism works is to put the small businessman into a vice that is being closed from both ends on one side is the WalMarts and Amazons and on the other are the workers. Those workers in the restaurant business need to learn to fight for their money instead of groveling for tips. I have washed dishes and served Ice Cream and dishwashing is a much more respected occupation than doing kurtskys while waiting tables or serving Ice Cream to over educated college boys like you.
1
@WhiteManXRP Yes that's Capitalism works. Steall with one hand while making worthless promises form a big bosses mouth.
1
GM is getting a taste of Socialism right now. You want some too?
1
The minimum wage helps to set all wages. Wages are set from the bottom up not the top down.
1
Target is now a small business? What planet did Elon Musk get you from?
1
John Lester Liberals like Jeff Bezos are driven by greed and pay sweatshop wages.
1
It's just another example of BOSS Greed.
1
No retail business wants a strike on Black Friday.
