Comments by "Kim O\x27Brien" (@kimobrien.) on "Who's the biggest loser of the GM, UAW strike?" video.
The move to other countries for bigger profits. Who's going to buy their trucks if they push down wages to the minimum wage? Workers in other countrie are wising up and going on strike to raise wages their also. China has seen thousands walk out of those big computer assemble plants. If GM can pay a union wage here then bosses can pay a union wage everywhere including in those non union plants. This is what the Toyota, VW and Nissan bosses fear most if they don't raise their wages to UAW levels they'll face organizing strikes.

@proudamerican4050 In another video claims GM taking a billion dollar loss and workers losing 600 million. Sounds like GM could double the workers pay and still make a profit.

If and when there is another another economic slow down the workers should not except a single effort without a fight to lower wages whatsoever. This is one of the things workers are fighting for on the picket line. To get back what GM stole from them when the bosses were crying bankruptcy. These bankruptcy are staged events by the bosses so they can cut wages and reopen without out the union elsewhere.
2
@Legate-Jon3s I agree every working class person should go down to the picket line to learn and help out if possible.
2
@T16-s5o Drug war and opiate crisis obviously.

I don't think the'll be loading Billion dollar assemble plants on to ships any time soon since they have been crying about the Chinese stealing their intellectual property.
1
If they pay $65 or even $165 dollars an hour for scabs it would only be till the end of the strike and if the strike is defeated the first thing the will do is lower you wage to about 65 cents an hour.
1
@CVPI222 You can also bet that workers in Mexico and Canada at GM Plants are talking about this strike.
1
The workers are the union. If they want to change how strike pay and unions dues are used it up to them.

@dr.johnnyfever9194 They are senior leadership not management. Managers are capitalist dictators. Managers are unelected and appointed by boards of directors elected by the shareholders. They need no capitalist government investigation by the American Gestapo (FBI) either. Unions are a combination of direct democracy and representative democracy. You either directly elect the all the senior leadership or you directly vote on your contract. In the UMWA (coal miners) you do both.

@dr.johnnyfever9194 No one can stop a maggot from worming his way into the dying flesh of capitalism. Once he becomes a fly he can easily be swatted down and taken out with the trash.
1
You have no say in how you tax money is spent unless you part of the one percent who pay voluntary taxes anyway.
1
Because GM owns the politicians of both parties and you have no say over how tax money is spent anyhow.
1
Jack London So finally you admit to being a dumbass. There is hope for you yet.
1
That's another load of bullcrap.
1
Ya they're just going to put billion dollar assemble plants on sets of wheels and pull um down interstates with Orange Barrels and wide load signs across the border into Mexico if a bridge doesn't collapse in the way there.
1
@videogames3383 Why don't the wannabee scabs want to take Mary Barra's job? She makes way more than a worker on the assembly line.

Jaime Garcia Professor El Squirol The workers didn't tell GM to make foreign investments. GM just like VW in Mexico knew they would have to abide by Mexican law. GM's or VW's problems in Mexico are GM's or VW's problem. American CEO's have a much bigger waistline than the President of the UAW or head of the AFL-CIO. GM with think twice before making the reckless moves you suggest. They lost the battle of "Bulls Run" back in 1937. The Chevy door hinge was a fearsome weapon in the hands of the "sit down" strikers. It struck fear into cops everywhere. The unemployed were organized to demand jobs and relief. Congress passed the first fair labor standards act of 1938. Making time and half pay for over 40 hours a week, ending child labor in industry, and setting a minimum wage as the law of the land. All those things were made possible by those sit down strikers at GM and other militant strikes including sitdowns by rubber (Tires) workers along with that fearsome weapon the chevy door hinge.
1
Jaime Garcia "Now, if I make some money from this.." Now you admit to wishing to make money off of writing for the Bosses. I properly wrote before you are el esquilo, a coyote or a gusano. Your 'homeboy' is the gangsters of MS-13, the Nicaraguan contra, and the Cuban gusano.
1
@robertkubrick3738 Actually the mind of this "Dirty Commie" thought of Porn and Hollywood. Then again a rubber might help the Boss who seeks Bankruptcy "Protection" from the screwing he will get from the Judge and the Major Creditors leaving him with just a barrel and suspenders after they're done taking everything he has.

James Wilson No such thing as an "American" worker,. We are just workers. Like workers everywhere capitalism creates their own grave diggers. That's $1.90 is a lie. The minimum wage in Mexico is $5.10 While the minimum border wage is $8.79 higher than the minimum wage $7.25 in Texas and $7.50 in New Mexico Those are dollar conversion from pesos. Plus items made or grown in Mexico are often less than the same purchased in US while gasoline and imported items cost more.

Hiding behind a cowardly screen name of "Please Don't Tell". Mama goin' to give you a spanking?
1
@CVPI222 He JoJo C is to busy talking scab talk and pretending he is a worker. If wants to be so thankful than he can go kiss King Saud's ring and thank him for selling oil and not cutting his head off.
1
Jack London Cops lost the Battle of Bulls Run due to the Chevy door hinge in the sit down strike of 1937 to 1938.
1
@charlesarmeli1302 Seldom are they selfish minimum wage workers. If anything they are the small time bosses of minimum wage workers who were minimum wage workers that are sucking up to the bosses above or they've got some GM stock like a guy named Garcia who pretends to represent Mexican workers.
1
What business is that of yours? I don't hear you calling for a cut in Mary the CEO's pay which is in the millions.
1
Strike is independent of the two boss parties.
1
@the-LeoKnightus Naturally with a screen name like Knight us no one expects a seeker of knighthood to understand anything but to bend before and kiss the ring of a monarch and the cold hard steel of a sword. I hear King Saud has a few openings on his religious police. The recruitment poster say in bilingual Arabic and English 'Join the RP and make a few heads fall."
1
This strike isn't finished yet and my friends say it's more like that West Virginia Teachers Strike. The company was caught of guard and lots of sympathizers are going to the picket lines. The Strikers expectations are rising instead of falling.
1
Bosses claiming a billion and a half in losses. Well I guess they just haven't lost enough yet.
1
Cops don't count as workers. As far as anti American goes if the Two Capitalist Parties won't lead strikes than we communist and socialist will be happy to help in the battle for Socialism and a Soviet America.
1
Scabs like you I suppose.
1
@RCXDerp I can't afford a 'Vet anyway so no real lose to me.
