@joehayduk This is just an example of the HOT part of the cold war. A war that US planners would eventually lose despite all the crowing of Reagan and Thatcher to the contrary. The US lost without Troops marching over a Soviet Union and China defeated in WW3.

@numeristatech The US did not get another two allies with the end of the cold war but two more Imperialist competitors. It did not get a pile of rubble and hungry people to restart primitive accumulation with. Like the end of WW2 in Europe with the floating of Marshall Plan loans. The world watched as the most corrupt the most politically bankrupt Stalinists' hacks conspired to become the new capitalists and state power. For sixty years the Stalinists' insisted they were building socialism. That they were not just a bunch corrupt and murderous bureaucrats, betrayers of Lenin and the great October revolution, is there any doubt about them now? Anyone think Putin or Xi Jinping are revolutionary leaders of the working class? Raise your hands please?
