@kirkradich4641 They should have caught the plagiarism when it happened not years later. When they write a thesis they are supervised by a Professor of the subject.

@freedahlogic8368 I don't care if Harvard award degrees or doesn't but to award one and try and take it back based on plagiarism is a poor argument when being raised against a former student since the student no doubt was required to defend her thesis before her professors. Once a graduate student has provided the University with enough cheap teaching and research labor an advanced PHD degree is awarded. This then allows your entry into a lifetime career in academia.

That the country was under threat for secret infiltration of the government by Communists. His whole campaign of lies was based upon his victims proving innocence and FBI spys collecting lists of political enemies. It went beyond just the Stalinists to trade unons, labor leaders, liberals, Amy offices and Protestant ministers.

That I could put Ayn Rand on the stand and she would have to testify she received her education and advanced study in post Oct 1917 Universities because the Bolsheviks opened the universities to women. That she was a self described Bourgeois Student who left Petrograd at the begining of the revolution and was both a white politically and geographically that she was not harmed and left the Soviet Union at about the time of Lenin's death. @michaelmayo-vb5fl You can't "save" for retirement because a working economy is about production for current needs and a surplus used to advance productivity. The idea that the working class needs to act like the capitalist class and "save for retirement" is totally bogus. Our labor produces more in value than we need to reproduce our labor for the next pay period. The reason the elderly and disabled can have an income is because the rest of us are working not because we need someone to put money in a bank account. The elderly and disabled will spend their Social Security money on necessities not luxuries, building up BiG bank accounts, stock buybacks, profits or increasing shareholder value. They waste tax dollars on things debt paybacks to the rich who lend money to the government instead of paying taxes, tax cuts to companies that boost profits and the military budget.

@michaelmayo-vb5fl Great kid now how long before you save enough to retire on? It will be hard but not impossible to calculate. Of course you'll need ti make a lot of assumptions about different things like not getting fired, the store not closing or burning down, not getting sick, the length of your lifespan, inflation ect. How about getting married and having kids think you can you figure out what that will cost also? Think you'll still have the same job next year or ten years from now? You realize that your Boss puts in an equivalent about of money into (FICA) Social Security Tax. If he didn't have to pay the tax. Do you think he would give you that extra money? Social Security has more in common with car insurance than a bank account. You pay in because you can't predict your individual future.

@michaelmayo-vb5fl The Social Security Tax began being collected in 1936 in 1940 the first retirement benefits were paid. Today almost everyone is covered by the retirement, disability and medicare for the elderly and disabled. Workers pay half the tax rate, employers the other half, and the self employed pay the full tax rate. The disability program also pays dependents and survivors.

@LoreEclectic The Bosses have created theses problems with the 2008 crisis when the unions should have never agreed to give anything back. Capitalism's profits crisis problems should fall upon the bosses and their profits not the workers because we are the producers they just manage and if they can do that they deserve to go out of business or we should just take them over from boss mismanagement and run them for human needs.

@MaxNitro100 No it's about the rich eating us. They do nothing but demand more based upon past capital invested. By replacing labor with capital they cut the source of the profits our labor while raising the capital value of the company. This has the effect of lowering the rate of profit from which they measure success. To boost profit rates they use to give out unpopular wage cuts. To avoid this today the capitalist use the central bank to deflate the value of the dollar

@MaxNitro100 The strike is about the workers pay, benefits and conditions of work. A capitalist that can't make a profit deserves what he gets which is bankruptcy. Where does it say that a boss is guaranteed a profit. If they want to cry poverty then open the books so we can see how the all the money is spent. Get rid of business secrets.
