They should have caught the academic problem when it happened not years later. It just like going after Trump because people disagree with him.

He began lauching pogroms in rhe 1920's and was given amnesty by the British. He went to Hiler's Germany were he worked on the final solution.

@kirkradich4641 They should have caught the plagiarism when it happened not years later. When they write a thesis they are supervised by a Professor of the subject.

@freedahlogic8368 I don't care if Harvard award degrees or doesn't but to award one and try and take it back based on plagiarism is a poor argument when being raised against a former student since the student no doubt was required to defend her thesis before her professors. Once a graduate student has provided the University with enough cheap teaching and research labor an advanced PHD degree is awarded. This then allows your entry into a lifetime career in academia.

@magnus08f250 McCarthy was a liar. He claimed without ever having any evidence that Communist had taken over the State Department. That the country was under threat for secret infiltration of the government by Communists. His whole campaign of lies was based upon his victims proving innocence and FBI spys collecting lists of political enemies. It went beyond just the Stalinists to trade unons, labor leaders, liberals, Amy offices and Protestant ministers.
