@Neo-zg9zz Stand up for what? More wasted funds like the 2.3 trillion spent on Afghanistan? Russia and China aren't going to fire missiles if they get hit back by ours. We don't need a new arms race.

@californiabreeze2182 Look up nuclear winter genius. Who are you another 12 year old with a hero complex?
9
They can't defend against a US attack either. That is what prevented nuclear war and not US superiority.
6
@creatorofgods1668 Right Cuba and North Korea are the biggest threats since they could invade and take Florida and California in D day style invasions on the orders of Moscow and Beijing any day now.
5
@rogerarwood2612 Sure a loyal lapdog of US Imperialism wants to dance to the tune of the Capitalism with Chinese characteristics. .
4
@sep7658 I guess your too young to remember how all the worlds woo's ended in 1989 with the end of the cold war and peace was suppose to be the new virtue of capitalist restoration. You remember 2001 Bush launching the coalition of the willing into Afghanistan. Then 2008 economic crash. Trump's election despite major ruling class opposition. A corona virus pandemic. After 20 years of war a defeat was inflicted on US Imperialism after spending 2.3 trillion dollars. Now we are told how we need to spend even more for the sake of threats by enemies who are both magnitudes militarily and economically weaker. What we need is a militia to defend the constitution and our homes. Put all the Generals and CEO's on the aircraft carriers and leave them in the middle of the pacific ocean with some oars so they can fight their own wars for bigger profits.
3
@vladG30 Reagan was an idiot. We should negotiate an end to missile tech and use a militia to defend the country from invasion and our constitution along with a coast guard. If you want to spend a lot of money lets do something worthwhile instead of more Afghanistan that cost 2.3 trillion.

@christianr2897 I know it's hard to be sarcastic in print, US politicians are known for exaggerations and a movie was made about North Korea invading the US but I wasn't being serious.
2
@christianr2897 Still in all they are called the axis of evil and the US does everything in its power to prevent them for engaging in trade or commerce with the rest of the world with its cruel multinational sanctions in efforts to strangle their people for disobedience to Washington's dictates.
2
@MrSlavikman Obviously capitalist countries can't get along either.
2
@sylviabrooksfunchess2438 Is that your description of the American capitalists and their Washington pals?
1
@jordancarpenter4093 We don't need first strike capability. China and Russia can't defend against our missiles either. That's why no one has fired them off so far.
1
@shuailiu7740 He didn't cut enough and all foreign military bases should be closed. Keane is just a tool of the military waste complex.
1
@sep7658 Putin will be lucky if he can find some one to push a button.
1
@creatorofgods1668 Right Putin should call General Keane or Biden for permission before he moves his military around in his country.
1
Michelle Van Dine Well I guess the US didn't "win" the cold war after all. Capitalism can't bring peace to the world now can it?
1
Michelle Van Dine Nuclear winter is a problem the winner can't avoid. A big enough nuclear exchange or success will put enough debre in the atmosphere to severely threaten all human life on the planet. So a win or even an exchange between secondary nuclear powers like India, China or Pakistan could send us back to the caves after millions die of starvation in the cities. This is why you hear war planners talking about a limited nuclear war with low yield weapons.
1
@andyt3233 We need to fire most of these generals and admiral for being idiots. We need to negotiate an end to ICBM's not build a star wars defense system. The 2nd amendment spells out what is necessary militia that is what is necessary to the security of a free state not a world wide military fighting for big business foreign investment.
1
The best defense is a militia. Our military should understand that since we lost to militia's in Vietnam, Cuba and Afghanistan.
1
@onlyicedasshole This is Fox News BS designed to make you think we had actually had any real defense against mutually assured destruction. The cold war is over and obviously capitalist countries can't get along either.
1
@onlyicedasshole You are a real capitalist who sits at a bank and lords it over people like you who run small businesses and on occasion need a loan. You can have people running small business and still have major industries nationalized under workers control. You don't need state control of every nook and cranny of the economy. If the workers have access to the books than they can't be cheated by administrators. The Cuban economy functions something like this and on occasion they do catch cheaters piling up money.
1
@onlyicedasshole The problem for people like you is on one hand you have employees who you need to keep happy yet need to get work out of and on the other hand have to deal with big companies who would just as soon squash you like a bug if they see you as a threat or try and cheat you out of you contract money. My father ended up in that situation because he was basically first pushed out of his union job on the railroad into a non union construction job and then out of that into being a small contractor since he had little other choice in the matter if he wanted to keep his family together. He had to stop work on jobs to encourage partial payments and nobody else in the business is really your friend.
1
@onlyicedasshole So people come to you looking for solutions to problems? If you invent something you have to have the machines to build a prototype don't you? Then you need to convince somebody that its worth manufacturing. People usually underestimate me. Then if I'm working somewhere if some company man gets involved its usually the end for me no matter how good I am at my job or what my past work record for the company is. Like at Westinghouse where the government was making a big deal about a security clearance and my actual supervisor didn't want me to quit asking me to forget about socialism. I'm too old now so I'm happy altering and living in my camp trailer.
1
@onlyicedasshole Technically its a totally different world. I remember thinking an 8 pin IC counting chip was a big deal. When passwords were printed not starred and you needed a machine shop to prototype anything. Computer memory was built out of magnetic beads with wire winding and TV's used vacuum tubes. Long distance calls were made to relatives on holidays only because of the expense. A computer was a huge machine used by big companies and the space program. Dartmouth bragged that MIT had installed a computer for them my thought was why go there when you can go see the guys who did the installation.

@jordancarpenter4093 The US remains the most heavily armed military power on the planet along with 800 foriegn military bases. None of that military hardware is much good when it comes to keeping small countries in line which are willing to put up a serious defense. About all it is capable of is destroying other countries not conquering them. The end of the cold war was a loss for capitalism since as you can see the capitalist are more divided not united. The capitalism of China and Russia could not be brought into the Imperialist allaince and now the US is even losing its influence within the NATO allaince. Behind all the saber rattling is the economic problems of capitalism that requires foreign markets to sell the overproduction from the advanced capitalist nations. The world crisis of 2008 has still not been overcome with production and trade still lower than 2008 levels.
1
@michaelclark1481 You don't want to work in a clean room wearing a space suit its considered one of the worst jobs in electronics outside of looking cool because of the problems with taking a break and eating lunch. Plus the scraped a lot of ships for the iron when the pandemic cut down trade.
1
@creatorofgods1668 Just who and how will they benefit from the move?
1
@jeffnpatricia We just finished giving them 2.3 trillion for Afghanistan and now they want more? A clean sweep of Generals would make more sense not additional expensive toys to destabilize mutually assured destruction.
1
Sub if you are against Antifa and BLM We don't need another round of missile defense spending to make a bunch of big shot generals happy at the pentagon. How about negotiating to get rid of all nuclear arms instead? We don't need to play world policeman.
