  3. If they want to be more "inclusive" they should end admission based upon gene pool. Thirty percent of Harvard Students are the sons and daughters of Harvard grads. It's common knowledge amongst Boston students as a whole that once admission to Harvard has been accomplished, "All the hard work has been done." The great majority of Harvard Students are 'Upper Crust' to begin with.

I'm a flat out communist but you won't see me burning flags or attacking MAGA marches because it's counterproductive to explaining what the class struggle is and how to fight back against capitalist injustice. There is no need for me to dismantle stone walls or engage in brainwashing techniques when capitalism in decay will do that for me.

  9. What about all the other dads could they also get their children kept out of Vietnam? Of course not. He got that favor or privilege because he was a member of the ruling class. (Bush attended Yale not Harvard). College students could also become officers and remain out of the draft while attending college or getting a job that was considered essential to national defense was another dodge. The great majority of the draftees came from the working class with the national minorities being over represented.

  10. Few wars are meaningless especially those that last 10 years. The Vietnam war took down two presidents. Lyndon Johnson did not seek to run again. Nixon was elected in a landslide of electoral votes from every state but Massachusetts because he promised peace with honor. Nixon resigned before his impeachment trial in the Senate. Senator Rockefeller told him he didn't have the votes. ( He need 34 out of 100 to avoid a guilty finding). The war ended because GI's didn't want to fight anymore. Nixon had two choices end the war or establish a police state at home and draft more soldiers. That war cost 50.000 GI's their lives and 1 million Vietnamese lives. It was condemned across the world with huge protest marches everywhere.

  11. He kept it going for over four years since he was elected to a second term which is when he received his landslide electoral vote election. That's where I learned it doesn't make a difference which of the two party candidates is elected. A real street movement is what makes the difference. His expansion of the war into Cambodia, the murder of four Kent State students by the Ohio National guard which resulted in a nationwide student strike had a big effect on young people of the time including me a high school senior. I had little interest in politics before since I thought of it mostly as popularity contests. Ever since then they have tried to rewrite the history of the Vietnam war. For years they talked about it as being a mistake. The only mistake about it was that they lost. The first GI's to come back were frowned upon by business as being soft or losers. Then they decided they needed to change that policy and make everybody into a hero as a way to end any discussion of the war.
