tommy 2tone Communism s a movement NOT a country. Capitalism is what you have in the US the rulers are Wall Street Bankers and Bosses who are on a constant drive to maximize Profits. That is what the two parties are about. Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism and these Wall Street Profiteers are why Production is moved out of the country and since 1973 have been a net importer. You live in the center of a world capitalist Empire that is in natural decline as worst aspects of capitalism become glaring to everyone. In the US the ruling ideas are those of capitalism as expressed in all the Universities business, economic and political science schools. It was Stalin who would put together a group of privileged officials who lead the Soviet Union back to capitalism while accuse the Left opposition of doing that. Who would be the leaders of revolutionary defeats in China, Germany, France and Spain. Stalin the one time candidate for the Orthodox Priesthood who would turn the Marx and Lenin into Gods to be worshiped like himself.

@a-s-greig A defeat for the ruling class always opens political space to discuss ideas. The defeat itself comes through class struggle. All the ruling classes done is to drag the working people into their wars over profits. Their is no reason to assume the rise of a Stalin or Mao is inevitable. Because their is no reason to believe that markets and capitalism is the end stage of history. By advancing the education of the working people you block the road against dictatorship.. This is why the Cuban revolution is still advancing today the road to dictatorship by a few is blocked by the conciseness of the Cuban people.
