  2. People who enter under spousal petitions can get green cards rather quickly since there are no limits on them. Their spouse must be an American citizen and the immigration service must be satisfied that they entered into a true marriage not one of convenience solely to get a green card. The immigrant spouse may work but the citizen spouse must agree to pay all the necessary support costs of the immigrant spouse. People who want to come here under family petition are limited to a certain number each year. This is where the complaint of having to wait in line comes from. The process is slow and bureaucratic and once again you may work after receiving your green card not before but you must be sponsored by citizen family members who agree to pay your cost of living. Then there is the lottery based green card this is limited to people from countries that are underrepresented in immigration like Mongolia. So if you want to read about how to get a green card I suggest going to USCIS website and trying to decipher what is being said. Like the "Green Card for a Lautenberg Parolee" apparently this program ended but was later renewed by Congress but the renewal was not recognized by USCIS.

  3. I recently travel along the Texas border and was approached for no specific reason by a person who spoke about Mexican migrant workers being paid with a portion of what they harvested. This of course went on at a place close to the Rio Grande because going more that a few miles away would put you in the desert.

  4. For the capitalists their approach to everything is "there not enough some will have to go without." For them they never go without. Taking money from single mothers will not raise wages. If you don't want to "import poverty" than the capitalists can raise wages. Of course any wage increase will cut into profits.
