@deadlyta The bosses all have common affairs that can't produce profits the same way that industry does by constantly reducing the labor time needed for production. In business school they call them overhead costs. Workers need to look to themselves and not a government of the bosses to do what is necessary. We have organized powerful trade unions and we need to use them and create a labor party based upon the unions to win the battle of democracy with the capitalists. We are talking about building out in a horizontal direction instead of top down. You never going to fix top down without the nessasary horizontal.

@deadlyta If you read the early works of Marx he says the state can't readily be wielded by the workers. After the Paris Commune experience he came to the conclusion that the workers would need to build a whole new state of their own. Like anything centralization has both advantages and disadvantages. The history of capitalism is towards centralization. I assume your an electrical contactor. Would you like to have a system with no standards for wire size ampacity and insulation and voltage? You've got your prints and specs written up in a small book. You need to estimate your job for labor time and materials how would that work without NEMA and NEC standards? Or if the standards varied for no particular reason across the country or world. I'm old enough to have seen a two phase 440 volt system. Seen any of those lately?

@muchoed5119 Bank failures occur due to the natural working of the capitalist system. Neither reduction or increase in regulation can prevent them. The federal bureaucracy cycles in and out of the industries they regulate. You can be sure that these regulators won't bite the hand of their future empoyers.

@RaymondHng That is because American law is based on English common law. The Justices also look at the discussion around the Original Constitution and the Amendments when making a decision on Constitutionality. At the time they passed the Amendment they wanted to encourage immigration and made birthright citizenship an incentive to those who came here knowing that if their children were born here they would be citizens.

@deadlyta You have the classic problems of the middle class small producer. On one hand you find yourself being ground down by big capital and its government on the other you see yourself as taking responsibility for the results of production that others aren't interested in. The reason the production workers feel alienated from the job is rthe way in which the bosses trear us. The bigger the company the more general the labor the greater the discipline becomes for the most petty of infractions. The bosses look at their accounting books and see that they profits have a tendency to decline and so that thir first action is to assume the workers are not doing thor job. In the past this eventually lead to strike provoking wage cuts. Not to mention the every 7 to ten year economic depressions. The last big crisis before the federal reserve bank was set up saw JP Morgan having to bailout his competitors just to keep the economy from shutting completely down. The federal reserve was set up precisely because the largest banks were now to small to intervene in the crisis in a really meaningful way.

@dewaynemizzell7009 No people seldom act irrationally and when they do it is seldom deliberate. If a women wants an abortion she has a reason. The medical profession is not full of angles either. The number of c sections for birth is high and this leads to the conclusion that many are being done not because they are medically necessary but for the assembly line convenience of the Doctors who like the work in the daytime. In this situation the women already has two children by c section and while she might not want a third I don't see why she would wait so long if all she wanted to do is terminate the pregnancy. Her Doctor has advised her it's medically necessary. Now I can tell you from experience its very difficult to seriously argue with one. Once they've got an opinion they seldom will change it and if it's just an opinion even then you are going to have a hard time finding one who directly contradict the opinion of another. It's possible because some of them are completely off their rocker. He has probable run some test on the amniotic fluid to draw this conclusion but I can tell that for certain. Nor can I tell you what the odds of survival are they might have a good idea of what they are and than again they might not. . .
