@rainfang1992 The US became an Imperialist capitalist power with the Spanish American war taking Spain's colonies. Then along with the UK it invaded the Soviet Union to support the Czarist white forces. The Bolsheviks called for national independence for the colonial peoples as the way to free them from the colonial powers. Revolutionary nationalism works against capitalism because Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism. The Imperialist powers can only redivide the world among themselves.

@shortclipmovie2233 No the US Imperialists would be unlikely to approving something like that since it would obviously out of their need to keep things under their control. Selling them all the convention weapons they want to buy at a profit is more of their kind of idea.

The United States is a capitalist power with a ruling capitalist class. With the Spanish American war they became an Imperialist power. Out of the Imperialist war to redivide the world came the Soviet Union where the Red Army would defeat 14 Imperialist Armies including the US/UK. The hostility of the US ruling class to the anti colonial revolutions of the 20th century is based in the US having become an Imperialist power with foreign investments to defend with military force. The early Soviet Union gave support to the struggle of colonial and semi colonial people against Imperialism. This class hostility towards the Soviet Union and the colonial nations is why the US had the foreign policy it did and NOT because the ruling class loves democracy and freedom. The US and Western European allies feared a second front opening world war 3 in Europe over Korea and that and the fact that the Soviet Union had nuclear weapons is why the US didn't just expand the Korean war. The same was true in Vietnam the US did not have full military support from its Western European allies and Canada. Bombing attacks on the North and Cambodia resulted in massive world wide protests. Killing Soviet advisers could also result in further rather than less Soviet aid. The Cuban revolution was also in solidarity with Vietnam. The idea that the American Imperialist could easily win the war in Vietnam had the been "smarter" as the video poster claims is false. When they began investing in China they had no intention of creating a capitalist power that would become world market competition for themselves anymore than the could for see that their greed and NATO expansion would lead to the Russia Ukraine war..

@Matt M England had also been a Repulic for a shirt period when the Parliament had named 59 commissioners to try King Charles I who was condemed to death in the English revolution. The restoration of the monarchy gave amnesty to all but the 59 Commissioners. The US can NOT transfer its way of development into the colonial world. World capitalism progressive era ended with the first Imperialist World War.
