@mikewalters3048 The Bosses want skilled immigrants to save on educational costs. That's why one out of three new MD's is an immigrant. Education like healthcare is an overhead cost for the bosses who want to pay the lowest wages for the longest hours at the fastest pace. Capitalism always works to replace higher paid skilled labor with lower paid unskilled labor and machines first. This has the natural tendency to push down wages to just the social minimum needed to sustain the laborer till the next pay period.

Instead of property owners owning people and property they now own property and rent the laborers labor power by the hour or pay us by the piece.

@johnrakthai Sowell has been campaigning against Blacks or anyone else doing anything but voting Republican for 60 years now. .It goes along with his no solutions only trade offs theory. Of course if his theories were true than Conservative Republicans not a Southern Democrat from Texas would have presided over the passage of the 1965 Civil Rights Act. What put an end to Jim Crow was not votes but massive protests against it from the March on Washington, the Selma,bus boycott and the sit ins at lunch counters. .

Sowells theories will never explain how Jim Crow came to an end or why the end of the cold war didn't usher in bright and shiny democracies that the neoliberals predict in the countries who adopt capitalism. Classical liberalism ended with the British banking crisis and the guns of 1914. Neoliberalism passed its prime in with 9/11 and the crisis of 2008.

@johnrakthai Profits are the results of exploitation since they are not connected to the labor of the bosses. A capitalist can work sixty hours or no hours and his profits or losses are independent of the time he puts in as a manager so his profits can not be wages which are dependent on labor. To be a capitalist, is to have not only a purely personal, but a social status in production. Capital is a collective product, and only by the united action of many members, nay, in the last resort, only by the united action of all members of society, can it be set in motion.

Give me a break. No one is evicted from their home in Cuba because homes are not used as a source of profit for property owners. The homes of the big property owners in Cuba became the foreign embassies. They don't have homeless or beggars in Cuba because they are organized to make life better for all instead a just a few property owners. The defeat of Hitler by the Soviet Union and US Black Troops and the Defeat of Imperial Japan by Mao and the Chineses Revolution. The defeat of American Imperialism in Korea, Cuba and Vietnam. Fidel Castro's Revolutionary Army who defeated the invincible white man of the South African Army in the Angolan civil war. Driving a dagger through the heart of South African Apartheid. @cajungangster1654 I've read what are probably his most important work on Das Kapital and Basic Economics so I know where all the bodies are buried. The first is the assumption that his experience at the US Labor Dept proves Marx wrong. It's an easy mistake to make if you think like the Social Democrat Norman Thomas that you go to sleep one day and wake up in Socialism the next. or maybe he had been listening to Joe McCarthy who had been making charges about the US Government being infiltrated by communist. Either way he seemed to think that once he arrived at the US Labor Dept the he was in just the right spot for a Marxist to be. One of his professors helped him get hired so I wonder if they hadn't played a practical joke on him. If one needs to clear up what Marx and Engels thinking on revolution and the state was State and Revolution by Lenin takes that up including the last chapter on the vulgarization of Marx's ideas by the Social Democratic opportunists. In civil war in France Marx wrote on how the commune smashed the state that special body of armed men and the bureaucracy that represents the ruling classes power and reconstitute it as armed workers with officials paid nio more than skilled workers.
