They don't hire more workers than the labor power needed to do the job regardless of the cost of labor. The bosses collect the taxes for the bosses government also. Inflation is cause by profit seeking bosses raising prices to increase their capital gains. The free lunch is what the bosses get on their expense account and when the go to the mailbox for the dividend check.

Their is but a shrinking middle ground between the two important classes in the modern world. The Capitalist and the Proletariat. The capitalist are a hereditary class with their national interests of private profits while the workers interests lies among them and beyond national the national fronteers set up by the capitalist states. The natrual workings of capitalism create more wage workers and fewer of every onther class. The middle class is constantly being precipitated into the working class.

@DR--- Without the union teacher pay on average would fall towards that of part time retail work. The incentive to be a teacher would be no more than that of a baby sitter. No effort to teach would be made because the goal would be strictly to get paid at the end of the week. Because that's what thinking about the need for money leads. You do nothing more than go though the motions to please a principle who sits on his ass in the office waiting for problems to develop. Why make an effort if your only going to be fired tomorrow? You'll get yourself a McDonalds workforce but you know what smart one go ahead and destroy your whole system in the name of profits. See what happens when the workers evict the bosses from the plant like in 1936 at GM in Flint Michigan. You respect nothing but naked power. And when you went around evicting workers from their homes because you system can't keep us employed the workers evicted you from the factory. So what was it going to be sign a contract today and hope to take the money back tomorrow or send in the cops and national guard and risk the loss of a whole factory?

@oldmanfromscenetwentyfour8164 They've forced the bosses to raise wages and better conditions for the working class by means of class struggle which is why the bosses fight so hard against unions. A strike shuts down the source of profits for the bosses by denying him the right to exploit us as the labor he hires. When ever the wages of the production workers rise it means more of the production goes to the working people who got the raise and expanding production for the workers who will now increase production for the things workers need. But this is only temporary as the bosses kept moving forward by maximizing profits threw increasing competition between workers and therefore maximizing exploitation.

@markanthony3275 With capitalism that which can't produce private profits by industrial methods which can continually cut labor time is pushed upon the government or non profit organizations. The purpose of unions is to defend the rights of workers on the job. Those social workers like Mark Janus, Prison Guards and Cops who serve the capitalist state and the boss classes disciplinary interests should be kicked out of the labor movement if they try to join.

@carpelunam Bosses do the screwing though. The use their money to try and control everything. They control the price. at the grocery store, the rent or mortgage contract price, the politicians who write the laws, the central banks supply of money and the want to dictate how much they pay in wages also.

@ncon5179 Bosses seek to pay the lowest wages to make the biggest profits. When an industry goes bankrupt it has to do with the way profits shift do to changes in the economy as a whole is not the faut of workers who seek to maintain their standard of living and who should rightly expect an increase as overall productivity of labor always rises despite the natural tendency of profit rates to decline. Bosses will always try and move production from higher wage areas tio lower wage ones. This is why the unions need to establish a labor party with a workers foriegn policy to see to it that wages go up in other countries and checkmate the greedy bosses.

Jobs don't just move by themselves bosses use control of governments to advance the interests of the profit seeking bosses in the capitalist countries. Nor can they build a new factory cost free or not have transportation costs. They create a working class where ever they set up shop.
