The basic reason for homeless problem is the use of homes as a source of income for the capitalist class of exploiters. The basic reason everyone can't have a home is because it would not be profitable for the capitalist who demand a return on investment for every outlay of capital they make. Their system goes in and out of crisis as profits shift back and forth between expanding production which comes to a halt upon overproduction and driving up the price of fictitious capital which then collapses as its exchange value dwarfs its actual labor value. Capitalism can not continue indefinitely because markets are not able to absorb all that can be produced and the rate of return on investment ges down as capital replace living labor in production. The only way the capitalist have been able to get around these problems has been to implement a fiat currency where money is constantly extended as credit for production that hasn't yet occurred. They have themselves convinced that capital must be producing something without labor. That is because it is the only way to explain where the profit comes from if it is not being produced by human labor.

@hwoodist The basic reasons for all these problems is the greed of the capitalist class and the failure of its economic system. All the theories of an everlasting capitalism ignore the basic fact that labor is the producer of wealth and not trade or investment. The only way to justify the profit is to mystify its origin outside of human labor. The capitalist are the involuntary promoters of modern industry but they can not keep it under control with their managerial methods of profit and loss. Their system tends to monopoly and control by greedy ruling class based in nation states competing in a world market for bigger profits. These greedy ruling classes of capitalist can no more get along than the greedy Kings and Queens of feudalism. At certain point war and conquest for tax revenue became the goal of the landowners who held serfs and slaves. This posed a problem for the middle class of traders and small producers in the cities resulting in revolutions to bring this new class into power who would revolutionize production with the use of market competition. Now since 1914 what you see is a world where the capitalist nations seek to take each others markers, go to war to make profits and defeat the revolutionary workers who have risen up in mighty trade unions and revolutionary states. The Russian workers were the first to venture down the socialist road beyond the trade union defense of labor in the workplace. The set up a revolutionary workers and farmers republic and defended it with an Army that defeated 14 Imperial armies from 13 other nations including the US/UK.

@THELAW360 You live in the fantasy world of computer games because you have a desire to escape the real world.

@THELAW360 I once worked in the Beth Steel rolling mill at Sparrows Point, MD. You can find youtube videos where they never bothered to turn the lights off. The whole mill and shipyard complex was demolished and destroyed and replaced with an Amazon warehouse. I bet you've never seen a coble from a slab rolled down to sheet metal thickness go up in the air like hot ribbon candy. The steel is a thick slab reheated in a furnace. The hot steel goes threw rollers like gigantic rolling pins and because its squeezed thin it comes out faster than it enters. It goes along a series of rollers before entering a coiler to coil it up like a giant roll of toilet paper. On the other side of the mill they made raw steel and pig iron from iron ore, coke (from coal in coke ovens) and limestone. The promise the companies make aren't worth the paper they are written on. You'll find that out when the inevitable market for the product goes down and the bosses say adios partner.

@THELAW360 The social cost of labor is determined by the social cost to reproduce you labor for another pay period. What you have in a total wage in a pay period must be exchangeable for food shelter and medical care. Your skill enables you to produce more in a pay period than others without that skill which would require training. The bosses save the cost of training by hiring the skilled worker. Your wage however is set first at that minimum which is necessary to keep you coming back. You cost to reproduce your labor is small if you are willing to live in a small room and not engage in a social life. That is usually what makes your costs go up when you get your girlfriend pregnant and now you have all the costs of having a family.

@hwoodist Of course you look at your portfolio and believe you are getting rich without working. None of what we say interests people like you until you realize the class struggle threatens the portfolio. .

@hwoodist Sure you worry about Trump because he pays attention to workers in Red hats. He recognizes the pain your system has caused us even if he has no solution. That is his real sin not going along with all your bourgeois global empires class interests. Calling out liberals and Rhinos as just so many clowns.

@THELAW360 You understanding of capitalism is only based upon personal experience. The conclusions of all the Marxist starting with Marx and Engels are based upon careful observation of the workings of the capitalist system. and human history. The fact that your a worker means you can't help but act like one. You doing exactly what people like Thomas Sowell advised before the crisis of 2008. You're to young to remember how $10.2 trillion dollars in capital value just disapperated. Much like what happened in 1929. This is what happens when they invest in driving up the value of factious capital until that value collapses triggering an economic crisis. When these crisis hit it has nothing to do with bad individual business decisions but is the result of Wall street gambling with profits. This is when you find out what class you belong to if you have doubts. One class gets bailed out with quantitative easing and golden parachutes while the other gets a kick in the rear as homes become to expensive and jobs become an activity you now have to compete for at minimum wage. Of course there will be always a few who beat the odds just like playing the lottery. If you want to gamble on you future than capitalism is your game.

@THELAW360 So suddenly you've become a politician. The capitalist have spent most of the twentieth century using central banks to flood their system with paper money which far exceeds the deposit value of the gold reserves. Capitalism can not be reformed because capitalism can not avoid ever greater crisis due to the shifting between investment in expanding production and driving up the value of fictitious capital. The long term tendency of the rate of profit to decline is also a problem. This happens because as capital replaces living labor in production it results in a less labor in the product which is the source of the profit while the capital book value rises. But since every capitalist judges success by his rate of profit they let giant industries go into decline because they don't see a way to make profits with more investment. Things like the railroad crashes are directly the results of capital greed the cutting back on the size of train crews and the lengthening of trains by using locomotives in the middle and at that the rear. Capitalism produced two world war in the twenty century and both the Russian and Cuban revolution. Marx had his newspaper closed down by censors. His revolutionary activity resulted in his being forced off the Containment of Europe.

@THELAW360 I guess you've never looked at a dollar bill what does it say? Federal Reserve note. who signs it but the Treasure of the United States and Secretary of the Treasury of the United States. Your money already is government money. In fact the United States government was set up by property owners to protect their property. It is a dictatorship of property owners. Any rights workers have were taken in the struggle against the British Empire and the Slave owners. Since then the property owners government only responds when class struggle of the workers and small farmers demands it. Now maybe you can get yourself a small piece of the pie and maybe you can't but to delude yourself into thinking that your the one, the Horatio Alger, who is going to beat the system by yourself is laughable. You need to be born into the club or make it into the elite universities where they educate the new ruling class and its intellectual defenders. The value of the elite education isn't in what you know or learn but who you meet. They give the orders and your duty is to follow to be the horse with the carrot mounted on a stick just out of reach from the head. Our power isn't in money but solidarity. It's not in who we work for but who we work with.
