  10.  @petervan333  It comes from two ways from Marxism one is the traditional progressive tasks of the bourgeois revolution in the colonial nations centralized democratization and land reform are frustrated by the foreign domination and support for a reactionary feudal domination. The other reason is that when the new Soviet government of Lenin and Trotsky was forced to sign the Brest Litovsk treaty with the central powers and the failed German revolution. Lenin vowed to tear Imperialism limb from limb. The Bolsheviks turned towards material support for the colonial revolution with the Congress of the Peoples of the East in 1920 and the founding of the New revolutionary communist parties in countries that never had a Social Democratic Party with the Communist international. You can see that Cuba maintains its nation independence despite being a small nation that has been under attack and subjected to blockade for over sixty years by the United States. Cuba is abe to this because not only is it prepared to defend its territory arms in hand with the support of the Cuban workers and farmers but alos because of the solidaity it has extended oi other nations and people struggling for their own dignity and justice. Fascism has nothing to do with liberating anyone rather it is a type of terrorist gangster movemnet which brings about a military dictatorship over the workers and farmers in defense of capitalist and big landowners property. A well know fascist gangster was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem the son of a big landowners family who began organizing pogroms of Jews back in the 1920's. He would go on to join Hitler in planning the final solution for the Jews orchestrating the Baghdad pogrom in 1941 while British troops stood by just 8 miles away. . .

  64.  @chrisporter9397  That's NOT true because what policy to apply in the countryside was one of the disagreements that arose after the death of Lenin in 1924. Nor are the terms mixed economy and command economy anthing but new propaganda terms. The so called mixed economy ignores that it is commanded by capitalists seeking profits in and out of government. While the modern industrial economies of the Soviet Union and China were created without a class of profit seeking capitalist. Their error in policy made in in Soviet Union after Lenin's death were those of bureaucratic officials lead by Stalin who had become contemptuous of the workers much like the so called socialist intellectuals in the United States who saw Trump as a new Fascist leader not a Bourgeois politician directly acknowledging the pain felt by working people from the crisis of 2008 and fifty years of no economic gains. . Pol Pot was an ally of Jimmy "Human Right" Carter with both arms and support at the UN. So raising him shows how little you know about history and why the American Imperialist make the decisions they did with China in the 1970's. He became a welcome way to punish Vietnam for defeating American Imperialism It was Socialist Vietnam that drove Pol Pot from power and Carter that wanted to prevent that from happening. Cuba never carried out forced collectivization after the land reform that gave title to of the land to peasants who wanted to work ir. Lastly leaves the question of wages being generated by professionals. Wage are not generated like say electricity is rather labor transforms nature. That comes from John Locke. The salaries of western professionals are made possible by overpaying them to assure loyalty to the capitalist system. Money wages are just a way to assure that the slave returns to one or another of his masters. As i said earlier wages are NOT what labor generates but value measured in labor time and labor power or usefulness.

  72.  @petervan333  Like it or Not Mao is the one who kicked out the Imperialist powers not Imperial Japan. The US were the ones who offered to dived Korea with Stalin in a deal he had no right to accept they installed their Dictator Syngman Rhee and who murdered his non communist opposition in his victory celebration. The American Imperialist were the ones who supported the murderous General Chang who like Rhee had to be overthrown in a popular revolution. The American Imperialist always talk Democracy except when they fight Imperalist wars then they act against those who question the motives using the same police state methods as any other dictatorship. The American Imperialist vowed ti bomb Vietnam back into the stone age just like they did in Korea. Notice how they never have a problem with granting immediate recognition to ever Fascist dictatorship. It's only because they fear communism the same way they fear the workers in the industrial trade unions. Like Joe Kennedy said Hitler is some one you can do business with. They extended recognition to Mussolini, Hitler and Franco with out skipping a heartbeat but it was over ten years before they recognized the Soviet Union and 20 before they recognized China and 40 for Cuba. That's because The Soviet Union and China had revolutions that did away with private property and with Cuba they never had forced collectivization or purges of intellectuals or party leadership. .All they do is make false accusations against Cuba and try and prevent the rest of the world with trading with them. They call Cuba a supporter of state terrorism when the US CIA are the ones responsible for the bombing of Cubana flight 455. Cuba has never sent out assassination squads against political opponents in Miami but the US CIA made over 600 Assassination attempts on Fidel Castro's life.

  82.  @silidusandoy7821  Almost all the books I mentioned are available online at Marxist Internet Archive. It stopped at the border for the same reason that the trade unions in the United States went into decline. The leaders became consevative officials living lives much better than the workers they were representing whether that be in a trade union in a capitalist country like the United States or in a Soviet (Soviet means council in Russian). The Communist Party of the Soviet Union and Communist International had adopted the non Marxist theory of building Socialism in One Country in 1928 because of supposed long term capitalist stability. In the United States the Bosses organized the McCarthy whichunt that began in 1940 with the Smith "gag" Act prosecution of 18 leaders of the Socialist Workers Party and Minneapolis Teamsters. Once NAZI Germany and Japan were defeated the US/UK no longer had a need for Stalin's regime so they began the cold war with a Red Scare. Unlike the earlier Red Scare of the 1920's which was equal opportunity one against anarchists, communist and Socialist. This one was directed against the Stalinist Communist Party directly and indirectly anyone who could be smeared as a communist party support. Unions had to certify there weren't any communists in their leadership down to the shop steward level. Loyalty oaths replaced the old yellow dog contracts that had been declared illegal.. Congressional which hunt committees traveled the country issuing subpoenas demanding that witness name the names of communist they knew. It was effective because the top leaders of the unions either aquested, launched raids against Stalinist lead unions or eventually declared themselves not to be communist party members. Stalinist union policy was a sectarian one and unpopular with the workers because of Communist Party strike breaking during the war years. Politicians of both parties like the Kennedy brothers and Richard Nixon made careers out of the politics of the witch hunt. In the Soviet Union Stalin began using similar tactics against Trotsky certainly after Lenin death in 1924 but Stalin had to go to much further extremes, His opposition had lead a revolution, endured the hardships of civil war, czarist prison, political exile and was much bigger. The Moscow frame up and show trials of 1936 to 1938 were made possible by manufactured evidence, torture and promises not to kill the defendant's family.

  85.  @badart3204  The nation state is the fundamental basis for capitalism. Nations had no borders before capitalism and instead rural life was the norm for most people different languages and language groups developed different cultures. The key change occurred when people went from living lives of an animalistic existence of hunting and gathering tribes to agriculture. Agriculture was made necessary by the times of food shortages and agriculture the tending and domesticating of plants and animals laid the basis for the class society where different tasks would be taken up different d a division of labor between men and women and a change in the family stature would also occur. They key feature today is not the division into nation was different ideas and cultures but the creation and interdependence of nations in world trade and the class struggle going on in nations and between nations. The ideas are being adopted and shared between cultures . A language developed by a small group living on the British isles is now a world language spoken by millions of people because of the development of capitalism and world trade. The number a national groups and borders recognized by each other has increased. The power of the nations which first developed with capitalism has decreased because the power and strength of the working class has increased The United States the most powerful Empire in human history since the end of world war two has soldiers who stopped fighting in 1945 and again during the Vietnam war. It's ability to wage war is limited by the working class with in the Empire itself. In less than 200 years the Communist Manifesto has become one of the top 10 works of literature to be translated and read by people on the planet today. The era of fascism came to an end when the Soviet workers at great cost to themselves defeated NAZI Germany.in 1945.

  123.  @railcity  True they had no capitalist in the Soviet Union and Eastern bloc but what they did have is a privileged bureaucracy that was using capitalist methods. The problem with capitalism is that it is based in nation states that compete in a world market. The bourgeois as a class control their nation states and use their nations military power to defend their economic power in the world market. Because they are in competition they can't avoid breaking up into shifting military and trading alliances that use war to defend their nations profit making. The Socialist states never had total power over the workers because of the trade unions. What limits the power of the capitalists is the workers power in the trade unions not markets or ability to become a capitalist. The monopoly power of the capitalist is not just expressed in the market but in the government and banking monopoly that enables the creation of money. You see the capitalist began ditching gold as a backing of currency with with the British banking crisis at the beginning of World War one. Keynes advised them to use government expenditure to prevent economic downturns. So with this method they are able to avoid handing out strike provoking wage cuts by using inflation to cut wages since they have control of the central bank. At the end of world war two the capitalist nations meet at Breton Woods to set up fixed exchange rates. That system prevailed until 1973. This is when Nixon told France we are NOT going to give you gold for dollars. Fifty years of wage stagnation followed along with the advanced capitalist nations moving production to China and the colonial nations. Now Capitalism with Chinese Characteristics is in the position of pre world war one German, the US as the UK and the EU as France. The biggest difference is on a world scale the size of the working class in every nation is much bigger.
