Abortion is a backup for other forms of contraception. It's a women's right not just for the upper class moralists who always had access to abortion while poor and working women died of botched abortions.

@Laliesposito578 A legal abortion is safer than bringing a baby to term. A fetus has no right since it is dependent on the women's body. There are plenty of orphans to be adopted and Catholic Priests have adopted exactly zero. Women need abortion to plan the thier lives and decided when and when not to have a child. Its is their right alone not the fathers, not the church and not the governments.
