  1. Sooner or later you going to be hit with a road (gas) tax of some sort. Otherwise your not paying for those orange barrels. Fed gas tax is 18.4 a gallon for gas and the average state is probably around 40 cents a gallon. If your getting better mileage than you going to be expected to pay more like the diesel road tax because you will be able to pass more orange barrels using less fuel.
