You paid for the software when you bought the tractor. You should be able to get the source code for that tractors software when you buy the tractor. That leaves only hardware and software tools, That seems to be more like buying a special tool. I've never heard of a company that sells a special tool for fixing its product like a car or truck worrying about you making a copy. After all they made their money selling you the product. You probably can't do this because Bill Gates wanted to make it so costly and legally difficult to transfer operating system software from an old to a new computer because he wanted to keep selling you new versions of windows. You'll hear them screaming about China not respecting their IP rights. I don't feel the least sympathy. They moved almost all their computer manufacturing to China and now they're crying crocodile tears.
