"It wasn't until 1977 that Castro first spoke to U.S. media, sitting down with American journalist Barbara Walters. Here's a short clip of that exchange." That's just not true he spoke on Face the Nation shortly after the 1959 victory also.

@jackgreenway4646 Life is a struggle everywhere even more so with the pandemic. The US has had sixty year blockade of the island and its been tightening it even more. Cuba is only an island nation not an island economy. I never saw empty grocery shelves in the US until the recent power failure in Texas.

Would you expect a paper advocating for the return of British rule to appear after the American Revolution of 1776? Or a paper for the return of slavery right after the US Civil War? Such a paper appearing today in the US would be laughed now but after a revolution change in government no. The had a revolution and the pain from the capitalist past is not easily forgotten. As long as the leaders of the Cuba revolution tell the truth about world capitalism, the world situation and listen to what the Cuban people tell them the revolution will continue making history. The Cuban revolution is just part of the world revolution that is a fight for justice and the change from the rule of a few wealthy capitalist in the richest nations to that of the working people in all nations. The construction of a socialist world is that of the workers created by the capitalist world.

@paulcarfantan6688 What does an empty Cuban grocery store prove compared to life of Latin American people before the Cuban revolution upset balance of power between American Imperialism and the slaves of its colonial Empire in Latin America? A whole island nation entered the modern world using the methods of socialist planning look at America's colony Puerto Rico, Haiti or the Dominican Republic and tell me how good they have it thanks to US Imperialism, Capitalism and Uncle Sam.

@banana flesh The bosses don't care who they hurt as ;long as the profits keep rolling in.

@bloodhun23 Nancy Pelosi holds a big rally declares Trump to be a dictator who shuts down government seeks military support form Marine General Dunford. Declares herself an interm President because she was reelected after Trump. North Korea recognizes new government say's this is not a coup but just Peoples Democracy. Canada says coup ok as long as no one gets hurt.
4
rdmo83 What you should be saying is that Canada, the US and China all operate under the law of the rulers not the rule of law.
4
@paulcarfantan6688 No one needs a grocery store to be open all the time or sit fully stocked up 24/7. Tell Biden to end the blockade.

The story is this Georgia cops are being allowed to play ICE and Border Patrol under 287g. They managed to take a simple speeding ticket and escalate it into an international incident where the cops violated the Geneva conventions. Way to go obviously the Supreme court ruling on setting a limit on police IQ is working well. Keep it up and people will be seeking political asylum in Mexico.
3
@patriotamerican3069 Unlike Canada immigration is a federal responsibility only. Once that Officer said, "In the state of Georgia...." Referring to her power in an Intentional matter. She violated Article one section ten. "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation..."
3
@Ksch Koff Unlike Canada, Immigration is a federal responsibility not one for state or local meat heads.
3
Cops should be required to report to jail for the weekends.

@punche5250 Cuba's Revolutionary Armed Forces defeated the invincible white South African Apartheid army at Cuito Cuanavale, Angola. Driving a dagger into they myth of the invincible white man in Africa. The allies of Ronald Reagan UNITA and South Africa suffered a humiliating military defeat on the battlefield and at the UN when the New York accords were signed. . .

@jjthefed Capitalism is all about the right to swindle and the raw deal. The truth about how the system of swindle for the profits of a few is what eventually brings it to an inglorious end. Capitalist can't escape their own lies and the violence the will need to keep there class in power. When slavery and feudalism got in the way of the new capitalist system they were first abolished by revolutionary means. The same thing will happen to the capitalist who are organized in nation states.
2
Canadian investors lose Venezuelan Gold Mine then the go to a US court to get back their investment by stealing CITGO from Venezuela.
2
@TheMorriganAensland Then it will quickly become another law the bosses enforce selectively. If it actually becomes too much of a problem it will be repealed or a court will rule against the law itself. Overall the bosses don't care who get hurt since they know the same rules don't apply to them that apply to us.
2
That's is just the way the tax law works. You pay tax on income. They pay tax on capital gains however unless they sell that property they have no capital gains. So if your estimated stock bond or property value goes up it doesn't count as income.
2
@rogerc23 Canada did not arrest the CFO for Canadian law violations but only on request of the US government. At most they will extradite her to the US for prosecution after a Canadian court circus. The US executes accused murders after trials not foreign company executives convicted of violating US third party trade laws. The rest of the world doesn't like the US government telling them who their companies can and can not do business with. The US government has ways to twist the arms of those who don't go along with US foreign policy up to and including war.
2
It in the best tradition of the Spanish inquisition and Hitlers book burning.
2
@chanszenge I'm opposed to capital punishment but unless this guy claims actual innocence which given previous convictions won't have the same creditably that someone not previously convicted would have I don't give him much of a chance for surviving the next 10 days.
2
@Happiness1876 Bosses know the law will no be enforced against them. Its only meant to stop the fight for higher wages by all workers. Divide and conquer is the Boss Desantis plan.
2
@mmc6172 China doesn't need to execute criminals despite having the same right claimed by the United States to do so. The Canadian government needs an excuse to extradite a Chinese Business executive for violating US third party foreign trade law. China could ask for a list of Canadian war criminals wanted by North Korea for atrocities committed on orders of US commanders from 1950 to 1953. North Korea would guarantee fair trial for Canadian war criminals just like the US would for Chinese business executives. Nothing political North Korea just want to hold fair trials for war criminals.
2
We understand that China is a sovereign country like the Korea's. That it rightly kicked out imperialist powers from China after WW2. That General Mac Arthur talked of attacking China's cities with nuclear weapons and creating a no mans land with nuclear weapons at the Yalu river. No one wants nuclear war, except those who dream of unlimited power and in the end building more nuclear bombs will not make the world safer. Kennedy's military advisers told him to launch a first strike on the Soviet Union and Cuba. Kennedy said no. The US playing world policeman is what drives the building of more nuclear weapons by small countries seeking sovereignty. US has over 7,000 nuclear weapons with the Russian's close behind. Just as the US of 1877 is not the same as the US of 2019. The China of 1949 is not the same China of 2019. What China does inside China is China's business but when Chinese businessmen invest in foreign nations and China starts building aircraft carriers one begins to wonder if China is not seeking to be a new Imperialist Power?
2
rdmo83 China is a sovereign nation capable of dealing with any Chinese problems. The US has no business talking about human rights when 1/2 million people are homeless in the US despite empty apartments and hotel rooms. We have the largest gulag system and Trump wants to enlarge it so refugees can be held in family jails which the rest of the world will correctly call concentration camps. Henry Kissinger should be tried as a war criminal right here in the United States along with a list to long to fit into a small comment. Once his sentence is finished here he should be shipped off to Vietnam if they want him to stand trial there.
2
@MiguelMartinez-lu9kv It's merely another move against workers by Boss Desantis. Bosses will get a wink and a nod when it comes to who they hire. None will pay a dime in penalties after their lawyers get into court.
2
@vocalize_official Communism isn't about living in model countries but the revolutionary change to a socialist world.
2
@luissalazar2590 The bosses have no intention of raising anyones wage what so ever. The bosses will pay no penalties. It is just another grandstanding move by the bosses who seek sympathy.
2
Certainly its linked to the Huawei case. Trudeau needs a reason to enforce US foreign policy in Canada without looking like a Canadian stooge of the Trump administration. Until Trump came into office the Iran nuclear deal was finished as far as the EU Canada and the rest of the world was concerned. Huawei has also be told that any 5G equipment it builds will not be sold in the US/UK, Australia and New Zealand with threats to national security being raised as an excuse to keep China out of their markets. Canada as an addition 10% of the US by population under a crown government set up by the British Empire is expected to follow suite but has yet to announce its marriage plans.
2
@Ksch Koff The US Constitution prohibits Georgia from making its own foreign policy. Article 1 Section 10 "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation..."
2
@Ksch Koff The laws regarding reciprocity of drivers licences are interstate compacts between the states the ones regarding Canadians are US federal law because states can't make their own treaties. The cop knew who the car was registered to before she stepped out of her vehicle because she recorded and ran the cars plate otherwise she'd be impounding a stolen vehicle. She asked for additional ID and when provided with that in addition to a valid licence she refused to accept it. The cops needed to stretch this into how do I know this is a valid license in other words it could be counterfeit because otherwise she would have been limited to handing out a ticket. A traditional Georgia speed trap works by a series of speed limit signs leading up to one a red flashing light on one of the old US highways like US 1 US 13 or US 17 The cop sits in wait on a side road follows you through all the speed limit signs an then the intersection busts you for doing 27 mph in a 25 mph zone or not coming to a full stop.
2
@Ksch Koff She exceeded the speed limit which she admitted to doing. The cop should have written a ticket and called it a day. Her drivers license was valid. If she produced an actual passport how would the cop know if it was valid either? Passports is just another document being issued by another country. They have numbers just like driver licenses. Its security measures would be just as unknown to the cop as the drivers license. Would he even have the ability to check the passport number? She produced a copy of the passport that also includes a number that can be checked with immigration to determine if she had entered the US legally and had not overstayed her electronic visa Its just another case of government overreach because it is possible and cops pushing for the right to demand ID at will. The original purpose of a drivers licences was to prove you could drive period not as a universal ID that cops could demand. The cops involved should be fired especially the supervisors. A new law should be written that for every new cop hired two cops should be fired. Obviously a maximum IQ test is not enough.
2
@captiveexile2670 America won't let Canadian citizens with Canadian felony convictions in without getting a special visa. The same goes for US citizen's trying to enter Canada. The Russian Stalinist's deported Solzehnitsyn for the same reason they deported Trotsky. Truth hurts the Party of Kulaks, NEPman and bureaucrats.
2
rdmo83 The capitalist rule through their two parties. The number of elected Congressmen and Senators out of 535 not elected by those parties and their campaign funding is no more than 5. The Judiciary is appointed by the President with the consent of the Senate. All of the Supreme court members are trusted and tested grads of either Harvard or Yale law school. The judiciary is independent of the people since judges are seldom removed except for blatant corruption.
2
@bennydavid623 He gives her all good answers no matter how tough they appear. The US has been broadcasting lies from Radio and TV Marti for years getting only a few to believe the lies coming from those intellectuals bought and paid for with US dollars.
1
If anyone did it I suspect the US since they've been provoking Russia with NATO expansion and cancellation of the nuclear forces treaty..
1
@keithstirland1388 Running water has a cost to purify and deliver. The building owner in the United States usually pays a water and sewer bill based upon a water usage meter. In rural areas they may use individual shallow or deep wells and septic tanks for disposal of waste. Many people also buy drinking water in bottles.
1
@jjthefed Youtube has been running a censorship operation since Biden's election.
1
The sole intention is to cut the social costs of immigration from the state budget while giving a green light to police harassment of immigrant wrkers.
1
@Gonya Kulie Its just a plan to target workers for more police harassment by the bosses state cops. No boss will pay a fine not overturned on appeal. They will play the victim in the bosses courtroom.
1
@bernardkung7306 Its the liberals who see themselves losing their political power and hope to stop all freedom of thought by political correctness and exclusion.
1
Canadian Senators are appointed by Governor General US will Invade Canada to create democracy.
1
The can only legally ask if you've been convicted not arrested. Unless your becoming a cop they you must answer but it makes no difference in those cases. You could be arrested for treason but if there was only one witness you'd be welcomed into the PD.
1
Only certain government employers can even legally ask that question. That doesn't mean that an employer can't somehow find out. However the can't fire you for that so they would need to come up with another reason or claim the employee at will exception.. They can only ask if you've been convicted of a crime not just arrested. If its a private defense contractor then if it comes up it will be the government that does it with a security investigation.
1
@farzana6676 These things are the continued fallout from the 2008 capitalist crisis. At the height of people captured crossing the border at other than a port of entry 350 people per year were captured per CBP agent Today it is 15. With almost four times as many agents and counting. A really big big crisis. Yawn. If their is a crisis its from people showing up legally at the ports of entry seeking asylum.
1
Your just an apologist for the book burners.
1
The province is getting a good chunk of money is that good or bad? After all next week could be another 2008. In the US you need to invest at least $500,000 in a select area or $1,000,000 and hire at least 10 US workers to get a permanent residence card.
1
@davidhynes This is part of Trump's agenda. Blame China for all of the problems in the US and it goes along with his tearing up the Iran nuclear deal. Canada is afraid of the wacko in the White House. Obviously this is another US Third Party trade law. Trump claims she violated US law when here companies subsidiary did business with Iran. The US writes laws about trade it isn't even a party too. Trump said he wasn't going to be another President of the World. If's that's true he should drop this nonsense.
1
The way the law works for business is you hire lawyers to hide behind. A lawyer is not obligated to report any crime you might commit or admit to as that would violate the lawyer client privilege. A lawyer can't advise you to do anything illegal. The can advise you on the law. Somewhat like this. The can tell you island X called a tax haven doesn't reveal the size of bank accounts. You can only take $10,000 out of country Y without reporting it on a form required before leaving country Y. Country Y ordinarily doesn't search or question persons leaving country Y headed for country X. Have I told you to do anything illegal?
1
The've been running speed traps in small town Georgia forever. Probably since they invented the police car. You would think they'd keep the local cops off the Interstates. Guess not.
1
@2Bluzin The charges have nothong to do with tax fraud. They are claiming he inflated the value of his property for loans but the loans were all paid back on time and its just a techincal viloation that is normal business practice. This law is usually used when banks can't recover the loans value do to non payment and exaggerated value.
