@tompain2751 What was correct his fear of immigrants who arrive on a schedule? What did people do before the cops had computer tracking and photo ID? How many of the 9/11 hijackers didn't have photo ID? Any reason to believe photo ID stops any real crime?

@tompain2751 I don't even bother to cast a protest vote anymore. I'm for a real democracy where you actually know you neighbor and that's how you vote. You don't need an ID except when you don't trust the government, your neighbor or election process to begin with. So go ahead and waste you time voting Demopublican show ID to prove your not a criminal as if your vote makes a difference. The richest Americans will get their spending bill created and passed by a bunch of sheep.

The middle class is not dependent on government like the poor are. Did the Atenean slaves get any help from the slave holders government? Of course for VDH we are all middle class except for the unemployed and people like the immigrants he despises. Two million people are scheduled to walk across the border without an ID or background check. That's how my ancestors came in the 1840's. Only they came on a ship with no record of where they landed from a country that faced starvation due to British imperialism. Imagine living in the early 1970's without a picture ID on you license and crossing the Canadian border with just a birth certificate. No computers to provide the cops with an instant criminal check. Should you ask VHD how he managed to survive in such a world? Horrors the person down the street might be an escaped shoplifter.

@peterharris4386 Gee what did we do before the cops had photo ID and computer criminal databases?

@peterharris4386 Like most conservatives he starts with fear mongering of criminal others in this case immigrants arriving "on schedule" and breaking immigration law. Many of the things he says are untrue. No one bothered to check immigration status in most states for anything before the immigration scare of the 1970's . I never heard of anyone needing to be a citizen to join the military or leave the country. Passports were denied to American communists at one time. Before the 20th century becoming a US citizen was much easier and no centralized records were kept of naturalized citizens since any state of federal court could make you a citizen. The coming and goings of immigrants by ships were not kept either. Nor was voting limited by state laws to citizens before the late 19th and early 20th century. As far as I know we were never required to check out before leaving the country either. Airlines and ships may not want to return passengers without proper passports or visa's but unlike Canada in the 1960's you never stopped at US immigration before leaving.
