The whole thing plays out in front of an audience of millions. Trump changed parties like socks so how do you figure he even fits into the role of a traditional liberal or conservative.

@sheckyfeinstein The last well know Presidential candidate who was convicted of violation the espionage act to run for office while sitting in a prison cell was Eugene Victor Debs of the Socialist Party. He received about a million votes. More than any Socialist or Communist candidate since.

I think we have aright to know about things like why all the former nuclear weapons treaties that ended the cold war have been tossed out the window and the endless war strategy of the Pentagon. Human Intel services? Like the ones where the spy agencies create their own incidents to justify military attacks on foreign powers for the benefit of US Investors? How many informers did the FBI have in organizations at the Jan 6th events and what role did they play?

@couragekarnga8735 It first appeared that the court had recognized abortion as a right. It was never secured because the ERA was defeated and the hyde amendment was passed. So it is now once again an issue up for debate since the Democratic Party liberals refused to do what they had previously promised. It is clearly a task that is in the interests of the working class and part of the general fight against capitalist decline and the assault on our rights as workers and our living standards.

@yvanlachance8269 The easy course for the justices is to let Trump be thrown under the Bus for "mistakes." But to do so they undermine their own independence as an institution and its not necessarily clear that the Democrats will be satisfied with a ruling giving the executive more power in a case involving a defeated rival. Special Masters have been used in past cases where the government has made national security claims so their is no reason to believe them must rule against Trump.

@pamjones8007 The government appealed the District court ruling to the 11th Circuit successfully that is why Trump can now appeal the issue to the Supreme court. What happens now is up to the Court.

@pamjones8007 They decide WHAT a constitutional issue is not YOU!! This involves FEDERAL not state law. So original jurisdiction belongs to the US Supreme Court NOT a State Supreme Court they ultimately deiced ALL federal appeals including simple procedural ones. "The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish ....The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States,and..."

Trump was never under Russian control and while the FBI maybe a welcome part of the Democratic Party and Never Trump Republicans. Trump didn't expect that he would be sharing power with the political police.

@itsjob595 He says he wants back what is his now who knows if the FBI didn't drop stuff all over on the floor when the do the usual ransacking of a search and have who knows what in folders marked secret or top secret or whatever. when the picked it off the floor. The took passports and then had to return them. When the cops conduct a search they are known for creating a gigantic mess.

The idea that you can use secret evidence against a former President is completely repugnant to any kind Democracy. Its like saying that everyone who voted for Trump is somehow a threat to national security. The court needs to Quash the 11th Court's order at the very least.

@jasonm1827 You live in a capitalist society it is corrupted by definition. In any dispute with a boss he always gets the legal benefit of employment at will. We sued the FBI in Socialist Workers Party vs Attorney General. Jimmy "Human Rights" Carters AG was held in contempt by a federal Judge for refusing to turn over FBI "fink" informant files. Using secret evidence against a defendant is repugnant to any concept of a fair trial.

@taefravis I don't agree with Trump but using him as a reason to clamp down on rights is not on the interest of defending the Bill of Rights. The Democratic Party elite don't like that he was elected as part of the general demise of the New Deal coalition of Blacks, Labor and capitalist Liberals. We need the rights guaranteed in the Constitution not capitalism or Democratic Party liberals. Trump asked a question they didn't want to talk about "Where have all the jobs gone?" People like Steve Bannon promoted Trump as a revenge on the liberal elite. That of course is just as bankrupt as the American Imperialist agenda of the liberal elite.

@michaelwallder6437 He can appeal to whatever Justice he wants it is up to the judge or justice to recuse himself for reasons of a conflict of interests. Nothing says that a Judge or Justice can't contribute to a political campaign either. If every appearance of conflict of interests were taken into account capitalism would be unable to function. If we had a labor party we could vote for people who were not directly beholden to corporate interests like the two parties politicians are now. Otherwise its always going to be he who pays the piper gets to choose the tune. Democrats do the same thing and campaign finance reform is a fraud from day zero. It makes some forms of corruption illegal while leaving all others intact and makes third parties more difficult to function.
