@WarmongerYT A fetus, embryo or fertilized egg is NOT a child. A person has a well established right to refuse to give up blood for someone who would otherwise die so why should a women be expected to give up her body to 9 months of pregnancy that she does not want? You could be dying of blood loss at the scene of an accident and I would be well within my rights not to volunteer to give you a drop of mine.

@opulentpieyoga9079 One problem is no birth control method is perfect. If a person is so irresponsible as you seem to think in getting pregnant than do you give them a responsibility they don't want? It is easy to say there should be a law but when it comes to writing and enforcing one it is not always that easy. If a Doctor turns away someone who wants an abortion and they then decide to go buy the pill for ulcers from a veterinarian to self abort would that make sense? They could end up hemorrhaging and dying of blood loss. We had laws against abortions before and they became hypocritical like the alcohol and marijuana prohibitions. The ulcer pill wasn't available 50 years ago. Today the ulcer pill is recommended for use in third world abortions by WHO.

@WarmongerYT All you need to do is explain how you write a law that guarantees birth control methods always work and how a Doctor can be sure they aren't giving a patient an illegal abortion? They use to hold court hearings to decide if a women could have an abortion is that what you want?

@ga6589 They have opened a national debate and now the issue will be discussed by the workers and farmers. This also bring up the issues of family support since the economic system is not supportive of working class families with its constant crisis of production and trade. If they thought they were going to settle the issue in a simple way I'd say they are wrong.

@nunnayrbznz3576 This is a case of grandstanding politicians pandering for votes by claiming to be Pro Life when really they are the "Give Birth or Die" movement. They care nothing about the women and families involved because the laws recognize the rights of money above all else. No rich women will ever go without the necessary care in America.

@ga6589 Congress can pass a simple law making abortion a women's right in all 50 states and the court would have no authority to strike it down since they only found it wasn't in the constitution not that Congress couldn't declare it a right much like the minimum wage or any other social act.

@michaeloshea5505 The problem is we need a labor Party in the US that can fight against the rotten Democratic and Republican boss parties. Clinton said she was for abortion being rare but legal and that is exacly what it is rare for those without transportation since 95% of counties don't have a provider anyway and legal because if you have transportation you can travel to get one. That was before the latest court ruling that is opening a debate about what workers need for our families.
