@hansfrazier42 The only way to change things is for the working class to begin the fight back against capitalism. Like the workers at Black Jewel are doing today. Socialist revolution is ‘historical mission of modern proletariat’. We are the special product of capitalism. The industrial workers. The class that makes everything but owns nothing. Once the majority of workers come to realize that reforms do not suffice to meet our needs and satisfy our aspirations — and the ruling class bares its teeth in reaction and retaliation — we will have no recourse but to rise in rebellion. We will create a new society remodeled from top to bottom.

@jeschinstad We need to take the means of production from the tiny ruling capitalist class and re organize society on a real socialist basis. There is no way that they will just relinquish inheritance. That's just way too utopian of an idea. We the working people need to come together in solidarity and take power from these billion dollar idiots reorganizing society from top to bottom. At about 2o minutes in it is clear that this is nothing but a way to further pauperise the unemployed by creating this so called all encompassing freedom benefit. The purpose is to save the capitalists and their government tax money. That's the only reason Shapiro doesn't go batshit with the usual taxation is theft and unions are collectivists thugs and so on. You can't have both capitalism and socialism because that is an extremely unstable situation. Lots of people think that their can be some kind of compromise. Just like the colonists problems with King George III and Chattel Slavery in the South. It took a revolution to rid the country of monachal idiocy and second revolution to do away with slavery. It will take a third to get rid of the Wall Street poker players and Washington's worldwide military dictatorship. Another one of our proposals is to have voluntary health care and construction brigades go to the poorer countries and help them build instead of more wars and catering to microsoft because Bill Gates isn't getting a $20 bill for every computer sold in China. One Third of humanity doesn't have electric lights. Cuba is doing this now and the reason they can do that and no other country in the world can is they had a revolution that made the working people of Cuba masters of their own destiny. That's the kind of revolution we are about. Not some new way to keep capitalism and these rich clowns in power. It costs about the same amount of resources for an unskilled worker to go to work each day as a highly skilled Doctor.

@jeschinstad I've never told anyone to abandon peace or face war against the United States. That is the US capitalist ruling class speaking through their executive committees of the Democratic and Republican Parties. I don't belong to either Party and have never voted for them in a General Election since I first became of age to vote. After the Cuban revolution no one was told they couldn't be an administrator. What they were told is the could no longer use their position to exploit others. My wife and I are retired now and live in small camper about 3 by 8 meters. If the two of us can live for 15 years in small city apartments without a car. I think Gates can live without his mansion and thirteen garages.

@Erikpdx Actually if 25% unemployment becomes the reality Yang predicts a $1,000 a month is going to be a meatless bone being thrown to the unemployed. It is less than what you can make at $7.50 40 hour a week job. When technology replaces labor with capitalism that investment always goes to replace the skilled and union labor first. He claims his ideas can bringing 100,000 jobs to the Cites but the reality is Venture for America created less than 4000. He is big on bragging on the TED talks clown circuit and he should be rejected for overestimating the Math not doing it. You want to defeat mass unemployment than the first step is a cut in hours with no cut in pay that way what work that is left is spread around instead of mass unemployment which will drive everyones wage down to the minimum wage of $1,000 a month.

This doesn't do anything in itself except tell us more about what we already know or change names so they sound like a cool 21st century capitalism. An interview with Ben Shapiro blows the Yang UBI out of the water. He plans to replace all current welfare programs with his $1,000 a month except Social Security which he will lash by $1,000 month. Once your UI benefits run out in his 25% unemployed economy you get permanently switched to Yangs $1,000 a month meatless dog bone assuming you haven't already accepted his meatless dog bone offer. Let's do the math for UI benefit. At $15 an hour for 50 hours that $825 a week. or $3300 a month You UI is $412 a week just below New York's $420 a week max or about $1650 a month plus possible food stamps. If you accepted Yangs $1,000 a month meatless dog bone before or after you can never again receive UI or Food stamps. UI normally lasts for 26 weeks. During the Great Recession it lasted for 99 weeks in some states. So I think it would be safe to say Yang's meatless dog bone saves the capitalist government from responsibility should a 25% unemployment rate hit us.
