@mitchellhughes5180 You get a birth certificate that shows you were a live birth. No one gets a conception certificate because we don't keep records of everyone's sex life nor should we. A fetus is not a child or a baby it is totally dependent on the women's body and legislation won't change that.

Since a fetus hasn't been born so the statement is both meaningless and ridiculous. Like are we going to add nine months to everyone's age now.

@saatvikpandey9045 A fetus being alive has no more to do with the question at hand than cancerous tumor being alive, a male foreskin, whole blood or any other human tissue that may be subject to medical amputation, transplant or removal. It doesn't separate from the womens body 'till birth. What makes you think a legislature is capable of practicing medicine in the first place? Most of them are luck if the can apply a band aid never mind write a medical book on obstetrics. Do you want doctors and patients making decisions on pregnancy or do you want the state legislature and governor passing laws so politicians can grandstand as the savours of babies? After all they do such good jobs with everything else they get involved in like education public healthcare and economics. .
