If you don't have a job then go to the fields and get yourself a job instead of beefing abstractly from your college dorm room.

Representative government and what they told you in school about equal branches is wrong. Congress wrote the Constitution and it is the most powerful branch. The other branches have zero power over it being only able to temporarily blockade Congress but it has the ultimate 2/3 majority power of impeachment of either the president or the supreme court justices or the chief justice, it can override a presidential veto, or gang up with the president to pack the Supreme court.

You don't live in a tribal world with the US being the Empire like at the end of WW2. Sure Make America Great Again gets a lot of traction but if you think all those union jobs are coming back your wrong. Whatever they decide to build here will based on profit alone. Those of us who worked a Sparrows Point were promised vacation pay like teachers had for the summer time and told our jobs would be like those of airline pilots. You can go down and look at the once largest industrial complex in the western hemisphere. Personally I'm glad I left when I did otherwise I would probably dying of cancer.

You ride a skateboard. Plus everybody who works on the books pays taxes and for those who work off the books their boss pays taxes assuming the IRS can find him in a cash business. Since those without proper documentation pay taxes in they seldom file for refunds nor are they eligible for the social security benefits. Its a way for the government to collect taxes without have to provide anything.

Their kids if born in the US are natural born citizens unless their parents were diplomats. As far as a high school diploma goes they may end up getting a GED. Each country has its own laws concerning citizenship.

That actually originates in English law that those born on English soil are the Kings subjects. So Canada and the rest of the English world follow that tradition. The 14th amendment also made everyone born here and under US jurisdiction a citizen and when Congress was discussing the amendment they decided that making citizens of new immigrants children was good way to attract immigrants. So later on the Supreme court decided that a Chinese man born on American soil was a citizen and could not be deported because of the Chinese exclusion act. Unless Congress can write a law to pass supreme court muster or amend the Constitution that's not going to happen. Most people enter legally and then overstay the visa. Plus it is perfectly legal for anyone to enter legally while pregnant and have their child born here. In Canada they will refuse entry if you can't pay for the child's birth in cash or credit. The citizenship laws of countries like Norway and Japan are different even being their legally and born their doesn't get you citizenship. Plus the 2008 crisis was not caused by immigration but Wall Street capitalist greed.

The have no intention of deporting all immigrants and permanent resident status is not really permanent. As far as Mexican's who cross the border to work in agricultural fields the growers don't want to pay higher wages so when the Braceros program ended Illegal Mexican immigration became the excepted way to harvest fields and keep wages down. When there is an economic crisis then the bosses want to deport immigrants with or without papers. When things are going well then they want immigrants to come in to hold down wages. For them is just another game the play with us. That's why I'm against any new police moves against anyone for whatever reason. None of their wars do anything but make things worse. War on Vietnam, War on Poverty, War on Drugs, War on Iraq, now Trumps War on Immigrants.

I want changes to but I want a solution that is sensible. I'm against a policy of scope and grab for deportation. That's just political grandstanding nor is modern Mexican culture all that different from ours but considering we can't even get along with Canada that well I think we have the problem and not Mexico.

There have been big to do's over Canadian Lumber and when Canadian citizens enter the US for business or sales purposes. My sister is a tour guide she takes people from all over the world here to see Washington and the monuments. Now any kind of increasing negative image from Washington or more border checks and TSA being dicks here and her work will be affected.

The last thing the American ruling class wants is a revolution in Mexico.

If a second revolution occurs in Mexico first it help the next one here.

Not so when Congress was debating the 14th Amendment they decided it was a good idea to promise citizenship to new immigrants children. Plus the idea of citizenship by birth on soil comes from English law. The king wanted everyone born on English soil to be English subjects. So Canada also makes children born on Canadian soil citizens. Anyone who can legally or otherwise cross onto US soil and is not a diplomat can have their child born here and their child is a natural born citizen and can be President of The United States. Everyday at the border towns American children leave their Mexican homes cross the border with their American passports and go to American schools.

The Supreme court serves the purpose of judicial review and settling disputes between two or more states. It doesn't like being accused of making new law (which it did many times in the 1960's and 1970's) because that is Congresses job. People who cross at other than at a port of entry either have already been deported and can't re-enter, are unaware of the law and think they must enter that way, have been taken prisoners by drug smugglers or use a port of entry and cross with fake documents. Also you have the problem of making children born here responsible for their parents actions. They call that corruption of blood and the constitution also outlaws that. So your back to getting a Constitutional Amendment. It takes 2/3rd of each house of Congress and 3/4 of the states to sign on to that.
