  3. Public funds are not involved they are refusing to do the transplant because his insurance from a job he did for fifteen years will not pay once he is bankrupted by the future transplant costs. They are refusing to do the transplant because public funds will not pay after he is bankrupted just like anyone else would be under the American Insurance system. It a case where medicare medicaid normally takes over the cost after you are bankrupt because then insurance company gets off the hook for future costs.

  7. You can'r expect the bosses to control their greed by having themselves punished. We need a union movement that fights back with strikes and protests for all workers regardless of immigration status. When we are united we win. Divided we lose.

You go through a double triage at the hospital one is for medical condition the second is for how much you can pay.

What they aren't telling you is that US private insurance only pays for dialysis and a transplant once you done with that you are usually bankrupted you automatically go on Social Security disability and then medicare becomes your insurance. By then the private insurer is off the hook and long gone.
