@turnne You think we are fooled by your continual printing of fiat currency. Wages in the US stopped following productivity in 1973 when Nixon ended the Gold Standard. You system can not avoid crisis as the rate of profit declines and you seek to cut government expenditures that you need to regulate your own greed. In fact you can't educate enough engineers, scientist and medical doctors in the United States you have to hire them from the third world since the educational system is in decline.

@turnne I don't know why you feel the need to contradict me? Higher paid jobs even if you count Medical Doctor or a Computer Scientist they had at least some of their labor replaced or cut by machines and lower paid technicians. The capitalist seeks the maximum return on investment. Not the raising a mythical bar of no cost being too high. Things that can't produce profits are shuffled off to Government an Universities.

@turnne Capitalism works to replace higher paid jobs with machines and lower pay first. Additionally education can't produce a profit by cutting labor time the same way capitalist industry can. The same with healthcare since another workers can be hired if you get sick. So healthcare and education become overhead costs that the capitalist seeks to minimize in the interest of shoring up the natural decline in the rate of profit.

@moonchild2.0 Don't bother with the politics of resentment. Wages are always set from the bottom up not the top down. You can always apply for other jobs on your day off just to see what others companies will offer you. It will give you a chance to practice selling yourself to the bosses and see what it is they want. You want to emphasize you value as an older worker like showing up everyday, cheerfully following directions and getting the job done without needing to be told every move to make.

@dm-jf5uu No matter what they say or what they do their decisions are based upon making profits and more of them along with saving their system of exploitation. So when you here them talk about saving the planet what they are really talking about is saving themselves.
