I get tired of hearing Chomsky drown on and on about how the US is a big monster that has never been defeated. They were defeated in in China and they spent the next 10 years complaining and pointing fingers at each other about how they lost China. In Korea because they didn't get what they wanted which was all of Korea. Fidel Castro kicked out their chosen dictator Batista where they brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. In Vietnam where they were clearly left after losing the desire of the soldiers to fight and a movement that would eventually push Nixon into resigning in disgrace for his enemies list and revealing US FBI secret police J Edgar Hoover' as a spymaster. There is every reason to be optimistic about defeating them.

@wendylady69 Cortez is the way backwards. Backwards into the Democratic Party. She belongs to DSA. DSA on organization that claims a big membership yet it can't even run a candidate outside of the Democratic Party. DSA an organization whose only principle is to take an oath swearing off Democratic Centralism.

@Jebus Hypocristos First for the time being neither party openly wants fascist like the KKK. However in the past the KKK was an arm of the Democratic Party. Fascists are a movement which always includes anti labor thugs whose purpose and only principle is to shut down political discussion space by the use of violence. The ruling class only looks to them when the class struggle heats up. Otherwise they just as well send them to jail after they commit terrorist acts. Trump is not a fascist and the Republican party is not a fascist party any more than the Democrats are. If you need Democratic Party Saints to save you then you might as well look to the Pope for guidance since he has many real saints to provide you a path to heaven.

@tomross350 Russian Revolution? What is it you want to talk about? Leon Trotsky (Lev Davidovich Bronstein) was a Ukrainian Jew. The leader of the Russian Revolution along with Lenin. He was the People's Commissar of the Red Army and lead the successful victory of the Bolsheviks during the civil war.

@kennethmarshall306 Well if you understand that politics and economics drive each other and that the US government's actions are always actions as the executive committee of the ruling American capitalist class then you at least have something to go on assuming you can get the actual facts of what's happening from the corporate media in the first place.
