  2. The 'tomato' alliance was always one that promoted the containment of communism and the possibility of rolling back communism. Now that Soviet Union no longer exists it has taken on the role of advancing the interest of the US Empire up to the Russian border. Trump's decision to make other powers pay for the military aspect show as a desire to place costs of Empire upon other junior partners while realizing Russia is just another capitalist competitor nation.

  3. The US will only accept reunification on terms that would allow US troops on the Yalu river. The North will not accept US troops in any reunification deal. China will not abandon N Korea because it won't accept US troops on the Yalu river either. The masses of people in the South don't want another war. Japan isn't suppose to have an army except as defense force after WW2 so even if they wanted to impose their will in Korea they can't. The only ones who are reckless enough to see war as a solution is the United States ruling class.

  4. There may be a few liberals who toy with the idea of reunification and withdrawal of US forces but the reality is otherwise. How many bases has the US left without a big movement to see them out. France is a Nuclear power so it could leave NATO, Vietnam forced them out militarily while big protest movements forced them out of the Canal Zone and Subic Bay the Philippines. In fact they got a new agreement to begin returning to Subic bay.
