Been thinking - I must completely disagree about "Damn emails" moment - in THAT situation, early debates, Bernie was dealing with trying to build name recognition and get his platform out there - lots of voters still knew nothing about him. Focusing on his opponent's scandals would make her the center of attention when he needed to take the spotlight himself. And I really think that moment helped him. The problem was he never pivoted to attacking once he had the national recognition and everyone knew his platform.
