NO it doesn't immunize you from anything, it makes you MORE likely to be a victim of violence (not talking about this case, just general statistical fact) - whining about how the LGBTs have it better than you is really obnoxious. They don't.

@FourLightsOfficial no, its not nuanced and thoughtful, its BS. Its simply incorrect to not realize trans people have always been around, they were just closeted. What on earth is wrong with respecting how someone wishes to identify? Its so easy. The only people 'losing their minds' are the transphobes. I've misgendered people plenty of times and no one freaked out on me, cause they knew it wasn't intentional. Some people go out of their way to insult others and trigger them on purpose and then blame the person they intentionally harassed for getting mad.
