Its scary how ignorant people are - The Senate (half of Congress) IS often hereditary in practice and its lack of democracy (expensive to campaign, corporate influence etc.) makes it a stagnant institution like the House of Lords. To have a body focused on long term issues, it seems SO OBVIOUS you can keep the Life Peers and trash the Hereditary. 'I trust the queen more than any elected politician' lol well you're out of touch huh? the Queen has robbed you blind, she's been exposed as a racist and her son is a creep.
