  1. AGAIN, for the fiftieth time - BOTH PARTIES have been completely shafting public health and pandemic preparation for decades. My mother is a doctor who has been telling everyone who will listen, for 20 years, that we are not prepared for the Coming Plague. In fact, something like this SHOULD have happened earlier - Biden and Obama were NOT prepared for a pandemic, because the infrastructure wasn't in place. AS ALWAYS - the problem with Trump is not that he's a new evil, but that he's the same evil we've always had but more naked.

Trump won the same way every elected fascist in history won - by attacking the rotting corpse of a faux-liberal establishment, that speaks the feel-your-pain LANGUAGE of liberalism while helping wealthy elites rob the country blind. Trump was the ANTI-Democrat. And people hated Hillary because of her genuinely awful record, and she was a terrible campaigner who never developed any message at all. And she STILL won the popular vote but the loser was declared the winner by the electoral college. And then Democrats blamed Russia. Instead of looking at themselves, the electoral college, or actually developing an answer to Trump's psuedo-populism. Trump won because the Democrats failed.
